Instructor/Owner, André Lannertone
André Lannertone began his martial arts journey in the early 1970’s beginning in boxing, judo, and karate. He became a Kenpo instructor in 1979 and continued in the art of Kenpo to earn the Master status, 5th Degree, in 2009. André has studied other arts including Aikido, Wing Chun Do, Kickboxing, and Jujitsu. He became the AAU National Jujitsu champion in 1991 in the senior men’s light weight division.
André is fully commited to Gracie Jiu Jitsu Mukilteo, through which André offers self-defense instruction to children and adults with his “have fun while you learn” approach to martial arts. Instruction is discounted to provide self defense to those who may not otherwise afford it.
In Feb. 2014, André earned a certified blue belt in Gracie Jiu Jitsu. Coming Jun. 2014 he earned a level 1 Gracie Survival Tactics certification. Later on Jul. 2014, the Instructor certification with the Gracie Academy was earned. He is fully commited to Gracie Jiu Jitsu and is now the only art he teaches!
