Our Story
Growing up on the shores of coastal Florida gave me the chance to spend the long summer days with fishing poles and crab nets as my constant companions. I would bring home a harvest of fish, crabs, or shrimp after happy hours of working in the rich sloughs and surf of Atlantic Beach. My family of nine would devour that day's catch accompanied by a side of buttery creamy grits that had been simmering for hours on my mother's stove.
As I thought of marketing a southern dish, my heart went straight to the comfort and warmth of my boyhood favorite. Those velvety grits were the framework of every family meal eaten at our crowded pine table. Hence "Gracious Grits" were born.
