We really enjoyed today's Peruvian singing and dance. It was wonderful. Thank you for making it possible.
Run down, crumby place. Incredibly unhappy, power-tripping librarians consistently giving attitude. Dare you come on a bike or scooter and don't have a lock to park it outside. God forbid you put it in the corner near the entrance. Librarian will interrogate the entire library until she finds the owner, to tell them to put their bike in danger of being stolen. What annoys me the most is the masks. It's been half a year since the mask mandate in LA was taken down, and this place that has probably 5 people sitting in the entire library is acting like it's a chip fabrication plant. If you want to feel like you're back in elementary school with unaccomplished adults looking for power over children, it's a nice place to be.
The staff is kinda rude, and not very customer friendly. Mind you, I can also have bad days and on Fridays, I just want to go home too, but you're a public library for crying out loud. No need to be so unwilling to be nice without reason. I gave them a jacket someone had forgotten and the lady was so irritated at me for it, not even my fault someone left their stuff. I have only met one person an asian lady who wasn't rude. 2 stars for the benefit of the doubt.
Loved bringing the little ones for story time, the volunteers who read are wonderful. Reviews that have bad comments are not taking into consideration that book people are not always people people and you never know how their day is going. I have always greeted them kindly and showed patience when needing help and they have been very helpful. Love this little library and the playground at the rec center.
Awesome place. It’s a library; a sanctuary for reading, writing, and learning. It’s been the place where I have arduously developed myself from an uneducated/unskilled boy to a productive member of society. If you decide to visit, please be respectful to the staff and the establishment. Enjoy :
I've been here about 20 times now and the staff have been very polite, not rude like others are saying. They were probably being rude themselves
Every time I have asked for help, the staff is unpleasantly rude or passive aggressive. I asked once to have my record check to see if I owed anything I had forgotten my library card, and the lady rolled her eyes at me. As if was such a difficult task do you.
this library needs an update, there is no charging outlets here like the canoga park library or west valley library, kinda small and i think they dont have 15 minute computers here
I recently moved to Granada Hills and checked out the Granada Hills library branch yesterday and everybody was very polite and helpful.
Great selection.
