Grand Ave Pharmacy is a new compounding pharmacy catering to the Pflugerville Community, with a confirmed opening date of December 18, 2013. Owners Chris and Megha Adlakha are both graduates from the University of Texas in Austin and are excited to become a part of the Pflugerville community.
Chris is a compounding trained Pharmacist that has been working for large corporate chains for the last 4 years. When asked what made him take the risk to change from the corporate setting he quoted,
"Year after year I have found that the corporate model has been decreasing the level of patient interaction and shifted focus solely to production. I finally reached my saturation point, and realized my passion was to truly connect with patients. In an independent community pharmacy setting, I will have the pleasure and satisfaction of actually knowing my patients by name, educating them on their medications, and most importantly becoming their most accessible resource for health advice and care".
Megha is a practicing family dentist in Elgin, TX and is looking forward to being able to offer complimentary visual screenings and advice for patients in the Pflugerville area.
Grand Ave Pharmacy is a full retail establishment, and since they accept insurance and Medicaid, patients will have the ability to choose Grand Ave without forking over additional fees. Patients will be paying the same copays for their medications as they would, for instance, at a corporate chain like CVS or Walgreens.
