PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS

Environmental Education
•Recycling Coordinator for City of Grand Island
•Provide Household Hazardous Waste Collection for Grand Island, St Paul, Aurora, Central City, and Hall, Hamilton, Howard, Merrick Counties.
•Clearinghouse for environmental issues and concerns
•Coordinate neighborhood cleanups
•Present information to civic clubs/organizations, schools and other groups about the environment i.e., recycling, Household Hazardous Waste and litter education.
•Permanent Household Hazardous Waste facility located near the Central Nebraska Regional Airport.

I brought in several boxes of 4 and 8 ft. fluorescent light bulbs. One of the office workers immediately came out to my truck with a small cart and took all the bulbs. It was a positive, very easy experience.
Awful place! Everytime I’ve been there, I keep getting this same awful employee. She’s extremely rude and short. Overall making the entire experience a dreaded one! I’ve since started turning people away and also just buying the paint brand new instead of recycling just to avoid one nasty employee!!! Something needs to be done
I've been here two days in a row during the posted normal business hours trying to drop off a few paint cans. Both times there has been nobody there. I have called and waited 30 minutes for someone to arrive with no luck. Very displeased with this business and trying to find somewhere else to go.
I have used the Clean Community site for many years! Saving and caring for our environment is very important to me and I recommend this facility as often as possible to others.
Helpful, happy staff who assisted me in unloading cans of unwanted paint despite it raining! Thank you for providing this important service.
They are very helpful and kind so grateful for this place they have helped me so much. May God Bless them and continue to help the community and people that need the services they provide
I love this place. When Im short on cash,I know I can go here and pick up what is needed. People are so.friendly.
