We called the police with a less than 911 issue, but serious and pressing. The officer who took our info said we would receive a call from an officer. We grabbed a go bag and the dog and left the house, where problems seemed likely to occur. After getting some burgers and waiting a while, we decided to head over to the PD. We entered the foyer and found the lobby closed, so we used the phone to let them know we were there and hoped to speak to someone right away as we thought going home might still be dangerous. They said someone would be down to meet us. There was nowhere to sit, and my disabled wife needed to sit. After several minutes, we gave up. We determined it was probably no longer critically dangerous, so we returned home. Still no response from a PD representative. Apparently, our issue was not sufficiently important to require a police action of any sort.
Watching in shock the way you treated the elderly woman in the Red Coat! For what? What you did violated her constitution rights & unethical behavior on your part! Subpoena her for Christ sake! I am still not understanding what she did to warrant that!!!!???? I am usually on the side of the Police! But you stepped WAAAY over the line, then let her go after that!!!! I would sue into oblivion then make sure someone lost their job!!!
Yesterday on our way home from vacation we were in an accident in Grand Junction. We don’t know anyone here and I have a little boy in a wheelchair so it’s harder to just get a Lyft. Officer Jakopic, the officer on the seen, stayed with us to make sure we were ok. He then called for another trooper to transport my sons wheelchair and they took us to the airport so we could rent a car. They turned a bad situation into a pleasant one. Thank you
I'd have to say the I had a not so good experience with this dept. I called in asking for a wellness check for my son who was suicidal at the time and over 30 minutes had passed with no signs of police or anyone for that matter. There was nobody else I could call because we have absolutely no family there and no friends since he hasn't been living there long. I live all the way in Georgia. I guess I shouldn't have expected anything more from the police, Hell they didn't even try to help the children and teachers that were just killed in Texas at the school while they waited outside while innocent blood was shed and no wasn't GJPD but it seems there's nobody to protect and serve anymore but God.
Officers failing to follow department policy and provide their identification to a civilian requesting specifically officer Steele being a piece of trash--childish man baby. Trying to coerce a citizen into explaining a law to a sergeant who had no idea what the actual law was, and couldn't state the penal code he was trying to enforce. Radially profiling citizens. One can only imagine what they are doing off camera. The department should be ashamed of itself--but rarely does a department actually take any responsibility for their shortcomings.
Cop tore out of the median which was in a deep gully so he wasn’t visible in any way. The officer put additional lives in danger. His location was also not proper for radar checks. Without visibility of the car there’s no way to accurately access the speed.
So I'm sitting here, eating my lucky charms, and I see a bunch of police officers act like a bunch of wusses about identifying a black guy in a sedan. Reel it in later you wusses. I don't care if you can't kick your feet up. God is love.
I can't thank the Grand Junction police department for helping with a neighborhood who plays very loud music at 3128 Grama Ave. The music stopped. The officer who called me was extremely courteous and helpful. Charley Allan
A while back I went in to file a report. I was interviewed by an officer named Jennifer Gardner if my memory serves. I had been wronged by someone and was concerned about escalating conflict. A lot of the reason I went in was to make the police aware of the situation and to help stop myself from doing something dumb and illegal in retaliation. Jennifer conducted the interview very well. She didn't just take me at my word and I could tell she was trying to get the facts. I could feel her suspicion on me. Made me uncomfortable but i completely understood why. She asked for evidence to support my story which I furnished. She suggested a small claims case was an option, which I ended up doing and won. Great policing Jennifer. You have earned my respect.
Biggest civil rights violating police department in Colorado. They do not honor there oath to the Constitution. DO BETTER GJPD! Grade: F-
