Nice place to go for a hike. Trails are easy to walk. We usually do just over 2 miles with the dog. If you are lucky, there are a couple of bald eagles that nest in the area. There are sections that are handicap assessable.
Great park for biking, hiking, paddling or taking the dog for a walk. Eagles nesting in a tall tree near the river. Dog-friendliness: Dogs allowed but must be kept on 6 foot leash.
Great park to enjoy quiet walk. Lots of different paths. Several different unpaved trails to take.
This was such a beautiful park that is wheelchair accessible. Plenty of trails to social distance and enjoy the scenery. A covered bridge, launch for canoes, lodge, and a suspension bridge what more could you ask for.....well you asked for it....and a connecting dog park!!!! Such a great stop a definite must see.
My friend and I walked for an hour and a half. The weather was great and the hike was perfect. I was happily surprised to find out that the bathrooms are open all year long.
Beautiful park with so many picture-worthy spots and breathtaking/relaxing trail views. There are both paved paths for wheeled devices and dirt paths for more scenic hiking. I have never felt bothered by insects, and they do a wonderful job on keeping this park clean and beautiful! Also attached to a dog park that has normal/small dog sections and fenced in off-leash trails! Definitely my favorite spot to disconnect and unwind with my furry companion!
One of the best trails to walk in West Michigan. The trail is about a 2.5 mile loop. There’s always animals to observe and that includes our squirrels, and birds, but as well as bald eagles near the river. We didn’t see any on this trip but I have seen some before. Also, this trail isn’t frequented or busy usually, but it’s very safe and there are usually people walking by every couple minutes. The dog park is on the other-side of this park so it’s about a 1.5mile. Most of the park is unpaved, but it’s relatively flat. In the winter it’s kind of icy so there are some trip hazards, but overall it’s an easy trail.
First time visiting this place and it is so pretty. How did i not find this place sooner. Looks like there is a launch to do kyaking. Also looked like there were bathrooms available to use, but didnt go check them out. Will be comming back for sure.
Peaceful. Landscape is maintained. I NEVER need bug spray. Mix of both paved and soil trails. Overall, I really enjoy walking here.
Great park with paved walking paths stretching for miles. Hills are graded to allow for ada access and wide enough for bikes to pass each other. Views from the paths were great with plenty of benches and pull off areas for resting. Highly recommend!
