One of my two favorite places for catfish fillets. Friendly and attentive service, delicious food with large portions, and a great atmosphere. My two favorite condiments on the table, What's not to like. There 1/ 23 Great food and friendly service 3/14 back for their delicious fillets and good slaw
Traveling through today. Decided to try this place out. Didn't get past 2-3 cups of coffee and 2 hot cocoa's in an hour. 4 people in our party. Ordered ham and cheese omelet, rasin toast, pancakes with bacon and 1 over easy egg with bacon and toast. Never saw any of it. 3 parties came in 20-40 minutes after us and were served. Us and the table next to usby the way was there before us also got up and left without eating. I paid 8-9 dollars for coffee and cocoa's. When we questioned what was the deal the level of their concern was insulting. They should have paid us for the lost hour. Maybe we aren't on their VIP list. Hope my top 10 Google reviews status keeps this up top to save others from all of this. My advice is to pass this one by.
Service is friendly & prompt. Food is always good. Their portions are huge. I have to order half order of their hot beef. Their menu for breakfast is good as well. Has that homey country vibe. Comfortable dining. Bathroom is clean.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: Yes
Veggie omelette was delicious. Grilled chicken salad only had lettuce, cheese, grilled chicken and croutons. Wish it contained more veggies. Overall, loved this hometown family restaurant atmosphere!
This is a nice locally owned restaurant. The food used to be really good but isn't that good anymore. They are clean but portions are small and prices high. The cheeseburgers are the size of a kid's at McDonalds but much better quality. The cheeseburger came with crinkled cut frozen fries that we not fully cooked and just bad and a salad that was a cup of chopped lettuce with a thin slice of soft tomato on top. The cheeseburger was $13, which I wouldn't mind paying for quality food. The breakfast plate came with a little over a half cup of home fries that were undercooked and one over easy egg that was fried hard and three sausage links that were good and coffee. The breakfast plate was around $13. The place is always busy. They close daily at 2:00 with the kitchen closing at 1:45. It seems like people primarily go here to visit with friends and for the fantastic service from the friendly waitstaff that works very hard.
The food was very good. Loved the local Dave’s hot sauce and Dave’s Gator sauce. Good quality restaurant.Food: 5/5
My brother waited over an hour for his food after having been in labor and delivery for over 24 hours, wanting a real meal and coffee. He commented to the waitress that he had been waiting for over an hour and she responded with "sorry for ya" and walked away.Food: 2/5
A simple, solid eatery. Classic diner with fresh food. A taste of yesteryear. Reasonable prices. Enjoyable lunch. Parking: Newly paved parking lot. Very nice.
The doctor my mom saw at OSF recommended this place. It is down home in the best sense. The food is reasonable and really good. I recommend highly! Family owned since 1952.
Great time with friends wonderful time with waitresses and others in there! Food was exceptional!Food: 5/5
