-5 stars. Go elsewhere if you can. They make empty promises until they receive your money. Just desperate! "Black on black crime even in death" should be their slogan. They are liars especially David, so sad. How can a pre-paid grave disappear?? I came from out of State to deal with this unintelligent, unprofessional person and the ONLY REASON I didn't sue them yet is because of a loved one at this time. But, they are in definite violation of a few things. WORD OF ADVICE, DO NOT USE THIS FUNERAL HOME.
Choose another funeral home that has compassion, empathy and professionalism to accommodate your family with the preparation for your loved one. David Winn is unprofessional as it relates to making a family feel valued, from the initial meeting he wasn’t cordial at all, the printed programs were not proofed poor grammatical errors & the day of the service had several missing components. The ONLY reason we selected this funeral home is because our loved one wanted Winn to handle all of the arrangements! Overall, DO NOT choose Winn and go elsewhere!!!
My mother passed away unexpectedly and we live in another state. Muskogee is where she wanted to come back to in order to be buried next to her mother. It has been extremely hard during this time. I reached out to other Funeral homes in the area and didn't receive the kindness, compassion and expertise as I did when I spoke to David Winn Jr. also called "D2." He advised me of the plans offered and he was the first one to tell me that he could work with another Funeral Home in our state to get my mom back home. I spoke with Mr. Winn Sr and he set the wheels in motion to get my mother taken care of. I was kept informed from beginning to the end. "D2" is amazing and made the obituary and program along with the beautiful DVD of my mother's life that I watched for the first time on my mobile phone on their website. It was a seamless transition for our family. I didn't have to worry that my mother was not taken care of. I want to Thank the Winn Family for being so thoughtful and gracious during this hard time. I would recommend them to everyone who wants their loved one cared for.
Funeral director offered to show a video of my husband's life in pictures during the service. While it was in the program, this did not take place. Furthermore, video on this business' website cannot be viewed on a mobile device. Husband's name incomplete on his tomb due to “shortage of letters”. Through these, among other disappointments, Mr Winn has demonstrated a profoundly disturbing negligence for someone that he claimed to have known during childhood.
