Husband had knee surgery and was skeptical of being treated here. But I was pleasantly surprised when everyone, from the doctor to the cleaning staff was out of the way nice, willing to go above and beyond their “job description “. Jesse in ICU was the most caring, knowledgeable, professional and always available to do whatever it took to keep my husband comfortable and happy. Definitely will recommend this facility.
Had to write a review, and usually I’m not the type to say anything or bring it this far but we took my cousin to the hospital she was having contractions and needed to seen we were waiting for a while and she was obviously in pain. But fast forward she got placed in her room where she was being checked at or what not but we had a very rude nurse for Night Shift and main reason why I had asked for her name Caroline she was by far rude no hey hello didn’t even talk made seem like she was bothered to be there and it got to the point where we thought she was racist because of how her vibe was was terrible you expect for them to be warming especially coming in for women in the process of labor and in pain to talking them into for first time moms every time we were to ask her something she answered it as a one word response didn’t explain to us anything. But as soon as she stepped foot out of our room she was smiling and talking away her nurse friends with no issue. So sad honestly rude and not confort if you don’t want to work with people or people of color stay home honestly Ms.Caroline need to be fired!
My mom was there all day 7-28-23 with chest pain and shortness of breath, everyone was very nice, the facility was clean, initially seen very fast they worked my mom up and after a long day sent her home with NO diagnoses just follow up with your doctor, something could be going on with your heart. Fast forward to Sunday my mom is now at UNC in congestive heart failure, how did they miss that!! Please step it up and if you don't know which is fine..... send them out to another hospital!!
Both of my teenage kids got surgery. From the moment we got there till we left we were handled with care and respect. Everyone was professional and caring. We could not have been more impressed and happy with the care.
If I could give a zero I would. My wife was in the hospital last weekend. I was scolded by the nurse advocate over her care due to her having been there 9 times since the beginning of the year. I explained that I can't watch her 24 hours a day. I work. I also was told about her meds which I said that I pick up what's ordered and if it's not sent I can't. She stated that she sent all of her meds to the pharmacy. I walked my wife home, walked to the pharmacy, no meds. Next day I went back to the hospital, and she refused to see me. All I asked was for her to send the prescription, nope. Nothing. I'm presently sitting in ICU with my wife, who had 4 sezures due to no meds, and they are neglecting her. I just arrived, she is sitting in her own waste, and it took the nurse 10 minutes to come in, find out what happened, and then left. She's still sitting in her own waste, and the nurse is at the station.
I went in to their Ear, Nose, and Throat for a hearing problem. They had to send me to the main hospital for an MRI, where they found a tumor. Went to Duke for surgery, and Granville said they would work with me on the bill I couldn't work due to recovery. Less than 2 weeks later I get a notice stating I had been sent to collections. Then, after I paid it off, they garnished my tax refund; despite there no longer being a balance. Their staff was rude, and insensitive, at the ENT location. The MRI guy was nice, though.
A few months ago I was a patient in the emergency room at Granville Health Service Hospital. I was treated with the utmost respect and care. I felt the positive caring attitude of everyone from the front door receptionist, x-ray technician, to the nurses and doctors. Big shout out for the teamwork and effort to make me comfortable, get a swift diagnosis and explanation about after care. In this day and time, it is pleasant to see people slow down enough to see You , the individual
came in at 9 for a rlly bad felt like knot in my leg and it’s now 10:40 and i’m sitting waiting to be soon and i’m pregnant at 32 weeks .
Poor service, I talked to the young lady on the phone she told me to come in for dot physical she said no problem then when I checked in sat down she called my name and then told me we do not accept any body after 4 but I signed in way earlier than that poor customer service here, I was looking at them becoming my main office the one on 57 bc it’s close to home but I think I will stick with Duke primary be very cautious with dealing with this health care place
I had a trip to the Emergency Dept. on Sunday evening the attending doctor was very attentive to me and ordered the correct test and had me diagnosed and treated within a short time. I have very good and visible vanes. The attending nurse had no bed side manner and had trouble using a needle. She had blood running all down my arm and acted if she had never done an IV before. When returning to remove the IV things got really messy i ended up with blood all over me and my clothing and the floor. I have visited the ER numerous times and had two major surgeries and never have been treated by anyone that did not have experience on drawing blood. This nurse needs more training and i hope no one else has to deal with the unnecessary pain that i endured.
