I went into this post office as a visitor to Texas and the Grapevine area. I stood in line and was called up quickly to an open window. I unfortunately did not catch the name of the worker, but anyway, I asked for two postcard stamps. He told me they were out. I then said I would use regular stamps and he gave me two of those. He then proceeded to tell me that I owed 8 dollars. I said no way those cost that much. He then insisted that it was 8 dollars. I stood my ground and he then backed down and told me the real price. This was the most outrageous thing that has ever happened to me in a post office. I'm used to getting help from friendly and sometimes not friendly postal workers-but I'm not used to being taken advantage of. What is going on at this post office? I left right away afterwards because someone was waiting for me in the parking lot, but I wish I would have stayed and filed a complaint .
I realize this will go no where or mean anything to the monopoly USPS but I believe I should say something. The service I have received from the USPS over the years has greatly declined with the changing of carriers. When Steve was my carrier we got mail every day and by noon, almost always at noon. The mail was picked up and the mailbox door closed. Since Steve retired our carrier might get to my house by 5 or 5:30, not close the box door but leave it hanging down. Today I had two important letters in the box, red flag raised 6 hours before the carrier came. The carrier stuck a box in the mailbox but left my important letters in the box. Where is the pride of serving the public? No, the pride is gone with the quality of people who are now working at the Grapevine Post Office. I once was proud of my Post Office but now it is a disgrace to the community, the Postal Service, yet the cost of stamps keeps going up as the service goes down.
Over the last 1 1/2 to two years there hasn't been a month gone by that at least one bill, statement or correspondence that has never arrived. Recently, a family member has sent me two letters since June that came all the way to Grapevine only to be tagged with a yellow sticker saying "Return to sender-Not deliverable as addressed-Unable to forward". She resent them both original envelopes included and they arrived without problems the second times aound. So it was time to lodge a compaint. I looked up the USPS web site only to find that it could not accept my complaint. Monday I went to the Grapevine station to lodge my complaint in person. The administrator there took my name and phone number, and even a photo of the returned letter. No form was given to me to file. She said she would need to wait until the carrier returned to talk to him. No explanation of how the field carrier is responsible for the sorting machines. She said she could get back to me by the end of the day, or on Tuesday at the latest. It's 9:30 pm on Tuesday night and I haven't heard anything yet and am no longer expecting anything.
Awful service. I had a lost piece of mail which happened to be my TX car registration tag and Grapevine is the branch that services my apartment building. After seeing the piece should arrive the next day and it did not, I waited 3 more days to file a missing mail claim. I will admit that I got a quick response from Stephanie the next morning, however at no time did it feel as if they did anything. To add insult, the phone number that Stephanie left me to follow-up did not actually connect to any phone. I was told that the carrier would "look for the piece" and I did not receive any updates over the next 24 hours. That is, until the next day when I got an email saying my case was "resolved". Thanks to the loss of my document and ineffective service from this USPS branch, I had to spend my morning getting a replacement tag and I am LUCKY that I was not charged for it. My apartment building has consistent issues with USPS deliveries. Misdelivered mail, lost packages, slow moving. The people this branch are inept and ineffective at their jobs. They cannot grasp the concepts of how to deliver to apartment buildings. Avoid this branch at all costs.
This is by far the most courteous and pleasant experience I have had at a post office. I was serviced by a gentleman named Sylvester and he was very kind, attentive, and personable. I paid attention to how he treated each customer before me in line and he was pleasant with every single one. What a nice experience! Please hire more Sylvesters at all post offices!
I was at the 1251 William D Tate Ave Grapevine, Tx post office today 06/23 at 9:00AM and Whitney who stated she is the manager refused to help me purchase a pre-paid Priority Express envelope. She stated since I don't have the exact weight of the envelope and exact date of shipment, she will not sell it to me. If this envelope would be scanned tomorrow but mailed later, this would reflect negatively on her team's services she stated. I explained that this is for my passport that would be mailed from the Embassy when ready and I don't have an exact weight or the date of shipment. I asked her if I could purchase any other pre-paid envelope or postage and she stated no and advised me to reach out to whoever requesting the envelope as this can not be done. I drove straight to the Southlake post office and purchased the envelope with no questions asked. I was also informed that the Priority Express service covers any weight. I am extremely disturbed by the way I was treated at Grapevine Post office. Whitney refused to provide her last name, was rude by ignoring me standing in front of her trying to talk to other customers without answering my questions. Please take necessary actions to reprimand this employee. Thank you.
Horrible servicing. The staff is very rude, ignorant and disrespectful. I had a very bad experience with them . I had a scheduled appointment with them for my passport i had lost my passport. I had my old passport that had expired last year in 2022 fall. They refused to accept it as prrof of my citizenship. The us passport federal office allows this to be accepted as proof of citizenship if one does not posses birth certificate or naturalization certificate but these ignorant employees were not at all aware of this and when i told them that i had already asked the us passport office and they were ok with this, very rudely they said that they dont care and literally kicked me outnof the post office. If this is the state of lawful citizens who pay their taxes lawfully every year and these employees who get paid by these taxes treat u like this, i wonder what is the state of our postal affairs going in terms of harassment of citizens. Please dont ever schedule a passport appointment here. The staff seemed lazy , did not make an effortto enquire about the rules, were rude , andkicked me out in a very arrogant and disrespectful way. Ia l sorry to say that usa postal service in grapevine needs to do a better job.
I have lived in Grapevine and have been using this US Post Office for decades and have had the first hand experience that the Postal Workers delivering mail and behind the counter get the very important job done!
I always have a great experience here. Visit often to mail things for work, and the lines are short, the staff are friendly and helpful! The clerks at the front pay attention to people in line, so they can answer quick questions about packaging and postage BEFORE we have to wait til we get to the front. Love it
I went here to apply for my passport anf was assisted by Llahn I apologize if I spelled your name wrong. He was so kind and helpful. It was a very nice experience and wasn't what I was expecting when going to the post office where most worker are misreable. I was even a few minutes late and they still saw me. I appreciate your great customer service.
