Catholic Funeral Care assisted our family with the death of my mother. They were professional as well as very caring. The personal attention they gave my mother when they picked her up for transport to the funeral home was very touching. The process my family witnessed as they came to get her was so reassuring and they handled my mom with great care and compassion. The transfer team of Eric and Dylan was outstanding. The funeral director, Pete, was also caring and very efficient. He handled the situation with professionalism and sensitivity. Chrissy, who worked with us on facilitating the death certificate, was also very efficient and professional. She was able to start the process for the death certificate the next day and we were very appreciative of that. The entire process went smoothly and my mother was cremated within the week. I highly recommend Catholic Funeral Care. They help families of all faiths as I am not Catholic. They do however specialize in the Rite of the Catholic Mass for burial and cremation so if you are Catholic they know best how to care for you and your family. I recommend the Grasso Funeral Memorial and Cremation for the 'Celebration of Life' for your dearly departed loved one. The 'gathering room' is beautiful filled with warmth, peacefulness, and love. Pete Grasso, the director, has served the community for many years in this capacity and is very knowledgeable about the funeral business. He is compassionate and comforting and will listen to your wants and needs as well as giving great advice during this difficult time. He is a man of Godly character and integrity. When my boyfriend's grandma passed unexpectedly, Thomas and Pete took beautiful care of her and the family. I called and they immediately sent their transport team and took care of everything until we could collect ourselves enough to make the decisions. Very patient with traveling family, twists and turns the day of and were bet accommodating. When we arrived, Thomas was there to greet us. We felt very at home and comforted by their personal touch. We got to listen to the music she liked and in a cozy, living room-like setting. It's a very relaxing atmosphere and we felt like we could grieve our way. Thank you so much for everything!!! Loosing my dear brother tragically at the age of 45 was a day I never expected. I feel very blessed to have been recommended to Grasso Funeral Home. Pete was amazingly professional yet empathetic to what my family was going thru. He even set aside some of my brother's ashes to fill a bracelet I had made. While our hearts were crushed, Pete made sure every detail was checked and my brother was honored. I can't thank him enough and HIGHLY recommend all of the services Grasso Funeral Home and Pete provide.
Pete and John were professional, kind, and compassionate in the handling of the services for my Grandma. We were not prepared and really had no idea what we were doing. The price was much better than others in the area, but most importantly, the services they offered were 2nd to none! Even came to us when the arrangements needed to be made. My sister was diagnosed with terminal cancer in November, she passed away a short 7 weeks later in December 2015, I called many funeral homes in advance simply asking for costs, I was met with high prices and descriptions of services that I need not ever know about. When I spoke to Pete Grasso, he was the only one out of many funeral personnel that asked how our family was doing and what he could due to help. He explained his services in a extremely professional manner, his costs were very reasonable, he also indicated that he would do whatever he could to accommodate our needs at this difficult time, I felt no pressure to choose him and I was left with a since of ease. I was very comfortable with my choice when it was time to make it and I was very pleased with his services. We did have a couple of issues, however they were discussed and addressed. I would absolutely use his services again and I would recommend his services to anyone who asks. Thank you again Pete Grasso, for making this difficult time just a little bit easier!
Pete's passion, love and empathy for helping people runs deep in his blood. He has served his community for many years and looks at ways he can do more to make his community better. Pete noticed the financial burdens people were experiencing with funeral costs and wanted to creat a way for funerals to be less expensive and more personal to those going through a difficult time. As I would be traveling to Pinellas County from outside Florida; with no previous firsthand experience as the primary family member deciding on funerary arrangements; and as I desired a National Cemetery memorial setting for my late cousin, it was with a good deal of anxiety -- even after reading positive reviews -- that I initially contacted the Grasso establishment. I found both Pete Grasso and Thomas Tassillo to be personable, knowledgeable, and helpful; so my worries soon diminished to a negligible level. For my decision-making, the clarity of the pricing/services was also a welcome relief.
We are from Pennsylvania so when my mother passed away so far from her family I had to make all her arrangements over the phone, after several calls most of the places seemed very industrial all business. As soon as I spoke to Mr Grasso I knew that we could trust him with our mother he was very caring and went out of his way to accommodate us, we felt as if he were a family friend.
