I just wanted to acknowledge Grato's staff, specifically manager Joe and server Diego, for making our meal on Wednesday night extra special. They really went above and beyond. When I made our reservation, I indicated in the special request section that my husband and I were interested in doing our own date night gender reveal. I mentioned that I'd have an envelope from the doctor with me, and if they wouldn't mind writing the gender on a dessert plate or something else low key, that would be fun for us. We really didn't want to inconvenience anyone, so I emphasized "low key", and said it was alright if they thought they'd be too busy to accommodate. On the contrary, we were so honored and surprised to find that Joe, Diego, and the staff went out of the way to make our evening special. We arrived at the restaurant to find a "Welcome Baby" balloon at our table, with specially printed menus just for us with "Boy or Girl" written on them. Diego took one of the signature cocktails and made an awesome version without alcohol for me. We really enjoyed our meal per usual, and the staff was incredibly attentive also per usual. Following our meal, Joe and Diego presented us with a plate with all kinds of baby paraphernalia, including a Harvest Restaurant Group bib, pink and blue socks, decorative pacifiers, etc. in pink and blue, and it definitely heightened the anticipation. The reveal was presented to us in dramatic "mocktail" form, where they brought a shaker to our table and poured a BLUE drink into a chilled martini glass. They thoughtfully orchestrated just the right amount of build up to the reveal, with a number of photo opportunities and souvenirs to take home for the baby book and to show our families. It meant a lot that they seemed genuinely excited to have us there and to do this for us. We spent the night before our first child's arrival three years ago at Grato, writing out different name options on a cocktail napkin which we still have. We didn't want to make a massive deal of a gender reveal this time around, but we wanted to do something memorable at our favorite dinner spot that we're so grateful is back open again!!. Joe and Diego really hit the nail on the head with making it a special night for us. We've shared the video of the reveal with all our friends and family, many of whom responded with "I'll be sure to visit Grato next time I'm in town!" Thank you again to the Grato staff for far exceeding our expectations, and creating the absolute perfect experience!
Finally found a good spot with homemade pasta, great Cesar salad, and I actually really liked their personal pizzas with the large pepperonis!
Saturday night @ 7:15. Walked in on a whim and without a reservation. Busy but organized. We had a table for 2 right away. Attentive service. Food was excellent. Calamari to start and then salmon and branzino. Too full for dessert. Great all around. We will recommend to friends and be returning soon.
Great food. Awesome staff. Friendliest people you will meet in the area. Manager is hands on and personally see's to each customer. I cannot recommend a better place for a nice dinner or business meeting. My new favorite.
I’ll start with the good- the bread in the begging was really good and was accompanied by some really yummy ricotta cheese. I also liked the atmosphere of the restaurant.. The reason it gets only 1 star is because the rest of the food was quite frankly, horrific. I don’t enjoy writing this negative review but, I feel like I have to warn people before they go and spend a lot of money on, honestly, some of the worst Italian food iv ever eaten. We got two pasta dishes and pizza. The pizza tasted like it came from a box. The pasta was just out right disgusting. It was a very disappointing meal and it’s a shame because it looks like a place that knows what their doing. But in reality, they had no clue…
It’s been quite some time since I’ve visited this location, but all I can say is WOW! This was one of the most phenomenal meals and dining experiences that I’ve had in such a long time! From the moment we walked in the Manager promptly seated us and explained the menu. Our server Clarisa did a wonderful job! Our food was amazing! Everything was so flavorful! From the freshly baked focaccia to the divine burata caprese to my tasty carbonara. The Halibut was out of this world! So fresh and full of flavors. I am so impressed! Will definitely be back! The lemon drop martini was the best I have ever had! Thank you for a great experience! We can’t wait to come back!
We haven't been to Grato in years...since they use to serve hot zeppoles for dessert. We didn't love it when we had gone then, but gave it another try. We were still disappointed. The bread with ricotta and appetizers were very good. We had the Ahi tuna and calamari. The dinner itself is where it went downhill. My husband got buccatini carbonara and I got the chicken marsala. They were just ok. Portions were small, but the food was eh . The dessert...cannoli sundae was delish. Drinks and food prices were ridiculously high. The maitre' d and server were very friendly. Maybe we will try again in a couple of years.
My new favorite restaurant! Great atmosphere, superb food, and great service. I absolutely loved my Pork Chop. The roasted potatoes were very tasty. The artichoke dish was sublime . Tiramisu was decadent.
Overall, my experience with Grato was wonderful and I highly recommend this place. Great location, food taste decadent, fantastic service, and attentive staff. They asked if we have any food allergies. Even before I let them know that my friend has celiac. I have been coming to Grato since they opened. I am so happy to have been introduced to this restaurant.
Went for Valentine's Day dinner date. The ambience was very romantic and cozy with stone walls and extra large tapestries. A very perfect idea for a romantic date with loved one. The food was tasty, there were ample choices for vegetarians and the portion size was adequate. The service was very personal. Overall, it's a definite recommendation if you're in the mood for a romantic Italian dinner.
