Gratus is a one-stop, styling experience that offers women a highly personal touch and a carefully edited assortment of contemporary and designer apparel.
Gratus: n {fr. Latin for grateful} grat·i·tude n \ˈgra-tə-ˌtüd: the state of being grateful.
Gratus carries a skillfully edited selection of ready-to-wear along with accessories, shoes and handbags. The shelves will offer a vast departure from the selection found elsewhere in the city. Labels like Dsquared, Band of Outsiders, Marni, By Malene Birger, Protagonist, Maiyet, and Suno will be available and certain brands will be exclusively available at Gratus.
Discreetly perched on the second floor of a white-washed North Canon Drive building, Gratus is more like a tastefully decorated flat than a retail space with its subdued tones and earthy textures. The design is intended to invoke a feeling of being in your very chic best friend’s closet and correspondingly, there is a surprising lack of attitude at Gratus. Food and drinks will regularly be offered to guests and alterations are complimentary with a purchase.
Invited to be styled rather than to simply shop, new customers can request an in-home closet consultation with a stylist to evaluate core items and those best discarded. Gratus also employs a dedicated consumer- accessible database which enables all purchases to be photographed, chronicled and stored to inform future buys and as well as aid Gratus’ personal stylists to focus on wardrobe-building. Gratus will happily open the store for a customer during off hours, send a selection of looks to her home or office on consignment and even source pieces from other stores to complete a look, if requested.
Gratus merges unexpected levels of personal service with technological savvy to provide a truly differentiated shopping experience.
