Very lax place, retro, old woody smell, so much to love about it. From current and old vinyls, to seeing the collection of nostalgic Disney VHS'. There's a treasure for everyone to find.

My brother and me visited pretty much every record store in Wilmington on a day trip from Myrtle Gravity was by far the best of all the record stores. The owner was super super chill and friendly. The selection was fantastic and the prices were significantly cheaper than the other stores. I ended up buying 4 records and have already play tested them all, absolutely fantastic and don’t need cleaning. I will 100% be back.

This is the greatest record store that I have ever been to. I live within thirty minutes of two stores, but I’d rather drive an hour and a half to Gravity. I’ve never left feeling ripped off, which happens often at other record stores. Their social media presence is the best that I’ve ever seen from any business. Can’t make it to the store to snag that rare copy of OU812 by Van Halen? Don’t worry, they’ll ship it to you. So go see Matt and his excellent crew at Gravity. I love the place, and you will too.

Started shopping here when I was new in town some years ago. Then and now the gravity peoples have always made me feel at home. I wasn’t shopping in store for awhile but after not shopping in store and finally showing up I’m still greeted like an old friend. great feeling nonetheless. bitchin selection. they have all the rockers and then some. New and used. They always have something different and something for everyone. The staff is super helpful. Environment makes you feel like you potentially time traveled. They have the equipment for you and they service equipment to. Do yourself a favor and get right at Gravity.

I ended up in Wilmington due to a myriad of reasons that were entirely out of my control--long story short, I'm not sure I'd have ever ended up there on a trip if those reasons hadn't happened. If there's one thing I'm grateful about those reasons for though, it's that they led me to Gravity Records which was plain and simple one of the coolest record stores I've set foot in. I knew, soon as I walked in, that this place was legit and within minutes I was finding weirdo avant garde classical, James Blood Ulmer, and other goodies. The owner and employees were pretty delighted to see a freak like me come through to talk to about weirdo music and commiserate over life in a record shop I worked in one for years and the whole experience was just great. Their grading, their prices, and the atmosphere was everything you love to see. The idiosyncrasies and warmth that you can only get at an independent record store were in full force. Wilmington has a gem and I hope the locals recognize how lucky they are.

A cozy media store with an older catalog of vinyls and CDs - the VHSs are GARRET'S personal collection, some are indeed for sale in the back but the patches are free! Also, they have an adorable little guy working part time as a greeter

We always enjoy stopping in Gravity Records when we are visiting Wilmington. Great selection and awesome, helpful employees. They are passionate about what they do and they are always looking for ways to support the community. They love dogs too and you will often see one in the shop : Doesn't get much better!

One of the best record stores around. I moved out of state and came back to visit for the first time in two years and bought a used record. One that was not only very fairly priced but sounded great. Matt and the staff are more than happy to help you with suggestions, ordering or even fixing your equipment. A Wilmington institution and a place near and dear to the hearts of any lover of vinyl records, cassettes, VHS and underground art.

This will be my GO-TO record store whenever I'm in the Wilmington area. Awesome laid-back staff, a selection unmatched by the many other stores I've been too, and the prices? Very humble. It was totally worth the mile we walked from front and market! Cant wait to go back. Thanks again!

This is a great record store. The employees are friendly, helpful and definitely know music of all genres and decades. Plus they do turntable repairs. They fixed ours and it plays like brand new. Stop in for some old, new and unique tunes.
