Our family-owned "Simple, Fresh & Local" Deli is open!

Located right in the middle of Mineral Point's historical district, we're delighted to be "serving up" what we've heard from local residents and visitors for years:

"I wish there was a place I could get consistently great essentials: coffee, gourmet sandwiches and salads and snacks...with reliably open hours!" And to boot, we have daily home-made soups, fresh breads, meats and cheeses -- to enjoy in house or take home.

So far, from what we've heard -- we've hit the mark. Please come visit and let us know what you think.

Aloha my journey has landed me at the door step of The Grey Dog on this beautiful day btw!! I placed an order for a cheddar bacon turkey...and when my meal was brought out to me in the beautiful backyard/outside dining area! My goodness! Birds began to sing...is the moment I began to put that masterful build of a sandwich away! Thank you for your service and wonderful hospitality! Aloha
Stopped by for an appetizer, customer service was on point and the building had stylish interior. Lots of history in the area. Good area for outdoor seating.
Very good cocktails and very good food combined in a low key, relaxed atmosphere. The cocktails were very well crafted and delicious, and our food was equally well made and good. Vegetarian options: Two very good vegetarian options that we ordered.
Delicious food with a great selection of hot and cold sandwiches, wraps, quesadillas, salads and appetizers. Fun atmosphere and very helpful and efficient staff. We will be back!
Very nice location in the heart of a super great little town to visit. Staff was friendly but the prices were pretty high compared to what you get. $14 for a basic grilled cheese with chips? $14 for a portabella sandwich with chips? Ummm...everything on the lunch menu is the basic $14 with upcharge for add ons . This is a self service cafe where you order at the CNN counter and serve yourself. Not a great value for the money.
Sandwiches, soups, mac&cheese, coffees, teas and nice views of the main drag through town. Generous portions. Friendly staff. Order at front counter and pick up from rear kitchen window.
I love this place! They have it all! Great food. Very good coffee. Friendly staff, all in a comfortable artsy setting.
Great place with tasty food. We came into town for the art festival in the summer. Had a great time visiting all the galleries and little shops. When it was time for lunch we came here, place was very busy but we where able to get a table. The service was excellent and we enjoyed our meal here.
Owners couldn't be genuinely nicer. Food is fresh and better than most places and diners. We've had tuna, curried chicken, chicken bacon ranch, amaaaaaaazing to-die-for bread pudding, and smooth coffee- everything is great
Very comfortable, friendly and welcoming cafe. Wonderful place for live music also.
