Great China Restaurant

14 July 2023 - 4 Stars First time here. The taste of the food, both the menu items and the all you can eat buffet items, is your typical American version on Chinese food. Nothing bad but nothing to get excited about. The service was wonderful. We had 4 VERY YOUNG children and an 87 yearold with an oxygen tank & walker great-grandfather with us today. The staff was extremely helpful as we managed the various needs and abilities of all 10 people in our group. Would return if in the area.

My family loves the Great China Restaurant. The lunch buffet is our favorite. They have many yummy things to eat. Some of our favorites are the ham fried rice, broccoli beef, rice noodles, sweet and sour soup, spicy black bean stir fry, and vegetarian spring rolls. My daughter with celiac disease has options for the buffet and also enjoys the food. Each time we are in Orem, we try to stop at the Great China for lunch.

Great Chinese food and at a good price point as well. I haven’t tried their buffet but it’s been recommended to me and I’ve tried a couple of their take out options, my favorite being the house special fried rice. They get a good crowd for lunch but it’s large enough that you’d likely still find space and the parking lot is large enough that you’ll always find a spot. My only complaint would be that the link to the menu is out of date and I had to google the updated link. I also posted some pictures of their menu for convenience.

I was here back in 2021 and loved it. There was plenty of food and it tasted great. I recently came back and was super disappointed. All the food now is really bland and there isn't much of a variety. You will get way better tasting food and variety at Panda Express than you will here, for a cheaper price. The place is so dead and they didn't refill any of the food that was empty the entire time I was here. I would literally recommend you go to Panda Express over this 7 days out of the week. Super disappointed and not planning on returning.

I’ve been going here since 2007 and when I was in high school. I love the food here for certain things. The chow mien, the five spice wings and char su pork. I love it here enough the only downside is service is slow no matter what if it’s busy or not. But it’s cheap so I don’t complain much.

Very disappointed. First, the allmenus pricing must be very old because the actual pricing is much higher, as much as double for some items. We ordered four entrees and got enough rice for about 3 servings. The Orange Chicken was very overcooked, hard as rocks. The rest tasted ok. But then we were shocked when we opened the fortune cookies and found advertising for Manscaped with suggestive messages instead of fortunes. That's crazy! Who would think that was a good idea???

Easily some of the best Chinese food ive ever had. Used to be able to order on DoorDash too but seems like you cant any more. The Brocooli Beef and Orange Chicken are probably the best items on the menu. Just all around really good.Food: 4/5

This is the best lunch Chinese buffet I have ever been to. It does not have a huge selection, but everything there is so good and is a great value for the money. Seriously, soooo good!Food: 5/5

For some reason got like a creepy vibe from the place and the buffet really should have more options but the food wasn't too bad, I just think most places are better, sad to say I think panda express is better. But they were nice enough I mean nobody did anything wrong I just wasn't overwhelmed with this fantastic dining experienceFood: 3/5

Food was mediocre at best. Definitely not worth $12 a person. The service was terrible. I told them my child would not be eating when we ordered and that they just wanted a soft drink but then tried to charge me for a meal for them when they brought the ticket. The server was irritated when I asked them to fix it. They never informed us that soft drinks were included in the meals. Then finally the server argued with me and refused to let us take the drink that we purchased that was already in a disposable cup when we were done. Never going back.
