I got a real kick out of reading some of these reviews. Specifically the ones complaining about bein “overpriced“. Clearly people don’t understand basic economies of scale. Although I do not shop here majority of the time I prefer the farmers market / local Butchers when I do need something I would much rather get it from here than support Walmart or another big name store. Every time I have been in here I have been impressed with the improvements over the previous store Plumbs and I have always gotten good quality food. Recently they have even partnered with a local Butcher and they have been stocking his Bacon, which is amazing.
The store has large aisles that are great for anyone in a power chair or wheel chair. What is really nice is that they pack your groceries in bags that are really thick with great handles, which means that you don't have to double bag your heavy items and it makes it easy to put them around your handles without worrying if they will bust open.
Since plumbs became Fresh Market, I have been much more comfortable buying from the produce, meat and deli departments. The store needed an overhaul, and some new life blood. Keep up the great work and service Great Lakes Fresh Market
Prices can be a bit high, but the stores are nicely upgraded from the old Plumb's Market stores. Nicely laid out product. Clean. Signature Meats are a nice additon.
Sad ! I have only been in Muskegon a month. And come to find out today , the store is closing in December. Most of the store's are out to far to drive. Now I have to keep looking for a grocery store. Walmart is out of my way. What is happening to our corner stores? It's nice and convenience to have store's close to home. Sad to see you all go.
You can find some good deals here! I love the NEW store look and setup. The atmosphere is no different than any other local grocery store, the staff is friendly and helpful.
Prices not super great. Product quality is heavy on store brand.. name to me implied they would have more fresh/organic foods. Merchandising/branding feels dated.
I love this place! They have a nice selection of quality products. Their prices are higher than Walmart, but like I said, they have quality products. And, some hard to find items as well. If only they would stay open 24 hours.
Great Lakes Fresh Market provides this area with convenience. The store is clean and the staff is helpful. It costs a bit more than Wal-Mart but it makes up for it in convenience.
Great sale !! Maybe this place isn't so bad after all !! I had visited a couple of times and was shocked at some of the prices, today I ran in to get a couple of items and ended up spending $40 on sale items that were too good to resist.
