Great Lakes National Cemetery

This cemetery is so beautiful. I felt great comfort knowing this will be my father's final resting place. There is a great feeling of peace when you arrive. All of the grave markers are uninformed and the land is well kept.

It’s a military cemetery it’s well kept and by the wetlands of Holly Michigan so there are lots of water birds around so drive slow don’t hit one!

Such a beautiful place for a burial and nice people that run it. But my Grandmother's service was today and we where never told there is NO burial while your there and you are so rushed out of there. Almost like ok your done you gotta go.

Beautifully Kept Grounds, Very Respectful, Proud to be a Veteran that will be buried Here. My Father in Law and Brother gave joined unfortunately. Prayers for All of our Fallen Warriors!

I witnessed, neighbors funeral, you can hear the folding of the flag. The crispness of the material. The respective surroundings, serene. Honorable services of our heros. A very sacred place.

This was the first time I had visited the cemetery since my dad’s funeral. The road of flags is very welcoming and the grounds very peaceful that I sat and sketched right on my dad’s site. Such a great memory!

I think I'd go here to show my respects even if my dad wasn't interred here. I love that the colors are flying all of the time--not just on holidays!

Really nice cemetery. Staff was very nice and helpful, grounds well manicured. Open dusk til dawn. My grandpa would've said it was just peachy RIP
