Couldn’t get service because no one was working during business hrs. My sister and I arrive at 12:01pm seen the sign and left to get. Coffee around the corner and was back by 12:22. We waited until after I had taken the picture as you can see what time it was at the top of the photo and the time on the “be right back” sign on the door of the business. The second photo was of the inside you can see it’s empty and lights are off. This is very unprofessional and whoever is running the location or was supposed to be reporting to work is costing the company money. Myself and my sister were both attempting get units ! You guys could do better ! Not recommended I should have read the other reviews before I even wasted gas and and time!
Clean Facility and Friendly Efficient Staff, will definitely do business here again
I was an emergency situation I need a storage unit so I purchase one online in the evening 18 minutes before midnight. A few hours have passed and I didn’t actually need the storage unit a friend had offered to let me keep my stuff there. I contacted this company five minutes after they open in the morning and they told me because it was before midnight And even if they did refunds I wouldn’t be able to get one. Didn’t really sound right so I called another facility for the same company and that manager there told me they did two refunds and if the area coach had to approve it. So I asked him to have the area coach call me or contact me in someway so I can ask him more questions. Never heard anything back contacted customer service through the corporate website and did hear back and that customer service Representative told me they did do refunds the area coach just had to approve it. He also mentioned that he would call the area coach and make sure he contacted me as to why their employees told me two different things. That was almost a week ago still haven’t heard anything still haven’t got my $40 back. So I’m assuming the AC for this company just doesn’t care.
The young man working inside was very helpful and informative.
This was an unexpectedly great experience! After calling around to other area storage facilities and almost going with another one; I am glad I chose Great Value Storage. As soon as I walked in I commented on the smell of the office which smelled really good from the candle they burned. Immediately I was greeted by two staff members LT and Marlon who were very upbeat and personable. The office was clean, the grounds were clean, the unit was really nice, AND I got a good deal. I am super big on customer service so even if a product is nice or your venue is nice, if you have bad staff I will not waste my time and will let everyone know...but these guys...awesome! Oh and I forgot to mention...on the way out I was offered a cup of Keurig coffee...sometimes it's small things like this that get unnoticed or underappreciated I am so glad I decided to rent here. Keep up the good work!
I've been storing my household goods and a vehicle at Great Value storage for several months and have found the service to be great! L.t. Thornton set me up with excellent rates for both my car and personal goods and he even reimbursed part of the rental of the moving truck. I'm a huge fan, and gladly recommend this storage site to others!
I came here while looking for a place to store things between college and moving into my first real place. While I was there, L.T. Thornton helped me out looking around. He was excellent, offered great rates and really made me feel like I was a valued customer even though I hadn't purchased anything yet. I would highly recommend this storage facility, and even more highly recommend L.T.
I was helping my mother set up a storage unit until she can find a house in the Dayton area. The store associate that we worked with us was very helpful. He explained everything thing we needed to know about thier rental policies. He drove us in a golf cart to look at the available units and showed us how to properly lock the unit my mother had chosen. The lock is included in the unit price and yours to keep. The website was easy to navigate and has any specials they are running listed on the home page. Thier price were cheaper than the other storage places in this area too.
I have stored many items over the years at different places and have never encountered anything like this before. I have had a unit with great value storage since 7/2016. I have furniture, tools, college books, a large variety of items in my current unit. Yesterday I took a few more items to store at gvs, only to find that my unit had flooded ruining everything under 2.5 feet at the bottom. I went to the office and spoke to the manager only to be told in so many words, that too bad for you but I can move you to another unit. I asked about the ins policy that everyone has to have, and was told it doesn't cover water damage. I looked at the policy that is suppose to be coverage while at their facility, covers nothing for the customer but their asses. According to the policy the only time they are at fault is if it is their fault, and of course it also states that they are not at fault and the unit is at own risk. My husband and I start looking around, the driveway slants towards the units not away from, and the attempt to clean up the mud mess from an imaginary flood. I live 10 minutes from the location and know for a fact that it hasn't rained hard enough to flood my flower pots or get my porch went. So, how on earth did surface rain flood an entire corner of the storage units. After looking around the property close to my unit the grounds are not maintained by the owners. The fence line close to my unit has a huge pot hole, which most people know is from water damage and the fence itself always has debris climbing upward. The blacktop is severely uneven and is slanted towards the units and not away from the units as most places have set in. By this any water in this corner is going into the lower storage units. I have paid over $1400 over the last 18 months to store items, of that $198 has gone towards insurance that they have set up to not pay for anything, a worthless policy. I strongly advise anyone thinking of using them not to. You will pay too much for the unit and for a worthless policy, and you will loose anything you have in their unit. I have made multiple calls to try to resolve the issue and only seem to get an answer equivalent to oh well too bad for you. The only reason why I went to storage is our apartment is small and didn't have enough space to store all of my belongings. Most everything household wise has never been used, 3 beds used less than a month on one and less than five times on the other two. Furniture never used, linens and bath towels never used. rare items never used, antiques for safety, and misc items. I had $4000 plus worth of barely used or never used items that I now have to throw in the trash and this doesn't include tools or anything else, just household items. After all this, I was told I should have had other flood insurance on the unit, because as I said before their ins covers their asses not your items! DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT USE THEM OR ANY OTHER LOCATION UNDER THEM!!! Lastly, I didn't want to give them 1 star but had to to post this review.
