Sometimes when something seems too good to be true, you should avoid it at all cost because it IS often is too good to be true. However, even though my initial reaction to Great Value Vacations Central Europe vacation package was just that, my actual experience was something completely different. The package including travel to Budapest, Vienna and Prague WAS incredible and indeed was an amazing value. Our first experience with GVV was absolutely terrific. Our booked flights from and back-to our home airport went very well and were hundreds of $$ less than if we booked them ourselves. The choices of hotels made by GVV to include with this package were fabulous. In fact, we couldn’t believe how extraordinary the choices were because they were right in the middle of all of the things we were hoping to see. And the included breakfasts at each hotel were incredibly good all breakfast buffets with a huge selection of breakfast foods. The hotels were very nice, clean and staffed with very helpful and knowledgeable staff. We did upgrade our flights and did upgrade our train tickets but you certainly don’t really need to do so. All three cities are fabulous in their own right with much more to see and do than our 3 days in each city allowed. All-in-all, we couldn’t have been more pleased with everything to do with this GVV vacation.
My husband and I have traveled with Great Value Vacations twice - to Italy and Spain - and highly recommend the company. Their itineraries are thoughtful, creative and reasonably priced. Our accommodations have always been wonderful clean, safe, and well located and the tour operators with which they partner are friendly, well-informed and professional. We love GVV.
My husband and I have used Great Value Vacations multiple times with each other and also with friends. We have traveled to England , Italy and Ireland and each time have not been disappointed. Our trips have been well planned and so much fun. We have found the agents to be experienced and helpful. I have also traveled to Italy, Greece and England with my daughter, sister and nieces and have always been pleased. The places we have stayed have been nice and clean and as advertised. I highly recommend if you want a vacation to enjoy at a great price.
Great Value Vacations is amazing! We took the trip if a lifetime with the Taste of Paris package. The hotel they put us in was spectacular and the independent tours they scheduled were small, well organized and so memorable. Initially, I picked a vacation to celebrate a big birthday. The pandemic got in the way, but Great Value Vacations created a credit and even refunded the amount paid for travel insurance. They made it so easy to use the credit for another trip. We ended up rescheduling again and Great Value vacations made it so easy. Their customer support staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We’ll use them again for the service and amazing trips!
A great travel company to work with. A value vacation with them is truly perfect. There are enough details to allow for personalised interests. The hotels chosen on the Great Atlantic Way in Ireland were wonderful. They were close to the sea and all attractions. Will definitely book with them again!
Great Value Vacations arranged my solo travel to Budapest, Vienna and Prague in December 2022. The trip was truly memorable and they lived up to their name in providing a great value! Car pickup was provided from and to the airport upon arrival in Budapest and departing Prague, with train travel provided between the cities and a tour in each location. Be prepared to travel light and to not receive miles for your flights.
My wife and I went to Ireland in March. GVV was so easy to deal with and set up a great trip for us. We are already planning our next adventure with them. Highly recommend them to anyone.
My best friend and I took a trip to Scotland in May of 2018. I admit, I was skeptical about about this company at first, but our trip went off almost without a hitch! We prefer to travel at our own pace and not in a group setting which is why we chose the package that allowed us the most freedom and a rental car. My only complaints about GVV's are centered around the rental car. We did not know that we had a reservation to pick up the rental car. We thought we could show up early to the rental agency, get our car, and be on our way. Unfortunately, we had to wait until our appointment time, which the agency informed us of when we arrived. So, we had to wait around the rental car agency for a few hours until our appointment time with all of our luggage. Had I known about this appointment time, I would have been able to plan the entire day differently so that none of my precious vacation time is wasted. Lastly, there were some charges concerning the rental car that I didn't expect to pay since "the rental car is included" in the package. The rest of the trip was absolutely fantastic and we did not run into any other unforeseen snafus. I have recommended Great Value Vacations to my friends, family, and strangers! I can't wait to take my next trip!
I was not a person for "package deals" in travel, but Great Value Vacations changed my thinking. My wife and I have taken a trip to Greece with GVV and we love having everything booked hotel, ferry, airfare but are free to explore our own way once there. And we didn’t stay in cheap lodgings; the choices included some of the very decent places in the areas. Besides, the customer service team at GVV was right there for us, when we call for support or concerns.
We have now taken three trips with Great Value- to Paris, to Costa Rica and to Chicago. At each place, the hotels were wonderful. In Chicago, it was on the Navy Pier and our room had views of the shore and skyline. The place in Costa Rica was in the highlands and was made to look like an old coffee farm. It was stunning. We have one more trip with them planned- an Alaska Cruise this summer. They live up to their name- GREAT VALUE
