Today was National Volunteer Day and our Management Company TAM really cares about giving back! Today the staff from Aspens Apartments were able to serve our community and pay it forward with our time! We really had an awesome time and big fun!! A Huge thank you to Amy and the staff at BR Food Bank for allowing us the opportunity to be a part of the Sort and Repack. The other volunteers were a pleasure to work with as well!! It was our 1st time volunteering here, and I personally will be returning at least once or twice a month.
I volunteered at the BATON ROUGE FOOD BANK on June 11th. I love how everyone there works as a team and got the job done. Had so much fun, music playing, dancing while working and got to see coworkers whom we havent seen since the pandemic. AWESOME PLACE TO VOLUNTEER
It's a fantastic place to donate your time and to pay it forward.
The staff here absolutely ROCKS! Everyone was so helpful and welcoming when I volunteered for the first time and had no idea what to do. You can tell everyone there, even the volunteers, are genuine and kind people. I had a blast and have already signed up for more volunteer shifts!
We volunteered here for the first time yesterday 12/8/21. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. This organization is a gem for Baton Rouge. Everyone staff we encountered was very polite and helpful.
Made a delivery here. Come in from E Dual St so you can sight side back into the docks. Street is narrow and with a 53ft trailer and sleeper cab you'll be sticking out into the street. Not much space overall but was a lot easier then expected. Only took about a half an hour from arrival to departure, including check in and docking. But I only delivered about 10 pallets.
Helped us out in a pinch. Called them explained my mom's money hadn't come in and I was behind on bills so I didn't have money so they gave us an emergency box. It was just basic pantry stuff but it was a big help thank you. Keep doing the amazing job.
I was part of a volunteer opportunity to pick backyard fruit with Baton Rouge Green to benefit the food bank and families needing food assistance. We picked Satsumas from a designated backyard, filled boxes with fruit and brought it back to the food bank. Easy for us to do but so significant to many others. Grateful to serve this organization who does so much each and every day.
We had a great experience today. Our donation was greatly appreciated.
All they gave us was beans waste of gas no pun intended
