What was ordered -vs- what I got There’s enough rice for a family of 4, the veggies are COMPLETELY dead, the filet was unevenly cooked so my rare/med rare was more med well. It did have a good flavor though. The rice has a little too much cloves. Stick with the Falafel’s, but get the tzatziki sauce even though they’ll ask you a million times if you’re sure or “explain” what it is
The Greek Star in Pickerington is our spot for simple Greek food. The Greek star is a casual spot with a friendly staff. They have a full bar and sometimes a special in beer. The food is good, and the service is fast. This spot is where we meet friends for dinner and then linger over drinks and gab. We always order gyros and a side of fries which are large and delicious.
The service here was terrible. I was greeted and seated then another staff person brought me a menu and simultaneously asked me what I wanted before having even a second to view the menu. It wasn't busy, but there was significant confusion regarding orders. I had to tell two different people what I had ordered. It shouldn't be that difficult, especially considering the tables are all clearly numbered. The food was good, better than expected but I wanted dessert and ordered tiramisu. I was shocked when the staff handed me a cold, plastic container and couldn't even bother to put it on a plate. As an aside, they play elevator music here, rather annoying and the restaurant itself could've been a bit cleaner.
First time to Greek Star !!! I can’t believe I have missed this spot.. I had the lunch special gyro and the chicken shawarma and feta fries and baklava. Cooked to perfection what was supposed to be hot was and served in less then 10 min. Amazing happy hour drink specials starting at 3$ on a Tuesday .. and the service exceeds exceptional.. Fady was knowledgeable and guided me through the menu as I explained to him what I was thinking for a meal. He made the entire experience welcoming and fun! He was patient and enthusiastic in serving.. I could write so much more but I am beyond full of amazing food so to relax now. See ya soon Greek Star! 6/11/2021 Peter is the most artistic bartender and perfect host. This is my forever spot for food and beverages. Ordered chicken shawarma and lamb shawarma and spicy chicken and baklava and the most amazing feta fries , healthy portions and different drinks.. I am so over the moon about this place and hope you too can experience this amazing ness with date night or even kiddo night.. this hidden pickerington gem don’t let it go.. with the love of food
The owners are so nice. Family owned and food is delicious. Mixed drink specials are amazing. $4 for mixed drinks on Friday. Definitely will be back. Did I mention the food was delicious?Food: 5/5
Two words....GREEK FRIES!! OK, two more... Classic gyro!!! Their food is soooooo good!! We went for the fries, but couldn't leave the spicy gyro there!! Love it!! Fast too!!Food: 5/5
I've only eaten at one other Greek style place since moving here and wanted to try a new place, but found myself disappointed. Had higher hopes since the couple restaurants around them are very good. If you decide to eat here, just get the regular size gyro, the larger gyros seem to just have extra Lettuce rather than meat. The spanikopita was definitely dry with taste as if it were baked and refrigerated 2 or 3 times -- had a couple bites and had to throw out. Unfortunate because I love spanikopita; save your money. The Greek fries though plentiful in toppings, fries themselves had an old taste and texture like they had been fried couple hours prior to us ordering. The restaurant was not busy, maybe had 2 people at tables and 4-5 take out orders in the 20-30min we waited. Atmosphere I gave 4 stars because I love the decorations and wall paintings, looked like a fairly clean restaurant.
Very good food. Nice server. I got take out. I want to try other things. Big portion. Lower price with smaller size portio would be nice Vegetarian options: Lots of options
I ordered Falafel pita sandwich and gteek fries...it's really good food, ya falafel patti lettlebit simple but white sauce and hummus are very good combo with that...i said try one more time...Good service, Good food and Good price.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesDelivery: YesCurbside pickup: Yes
Being on the mood for some Gyros my wife and I decided to check this place out. Being a Monday night we enter and get seated immediately! The staff is friendly and the food came out only minutes after we order. For the price the Gyros are killer! At about $9 for the jumbo gyro you'll leave the restaurant nice and full. Appetizers are a little pricy, but delish if you wanna splurge.
