This was our first trip to Green Line Apothecary. We had the pleasure of having Ella as our server. She was very pleasant and informative. We learned the history of Green Apothecary while she artistically created our hot fudge sundaes. We will be back!
Gotta give a shout out here to an employee at Green Line Apothecary in Wakefield that went above and beyond her job description. Being in the midst of transitioning from private insurance to Medicare has been a frustrating and confusing time figuring out how to continue with the prescriptions I was on. Meagan spent almost a half hour on the phone with me to insure that I got all of my subscriptions filled, and let me know what the co-pays for each would now be. Iin doing so, she researched each prescription to ensure I received the lowest cost alternatives. I am beyond grateful to her patience and diligence. This is a woman who truly cares about her customer’s well being. Bravo Meagan ~ your efforts are very much appreciated!
Even with a lunchtime line, my wait to get scripts filled today was shorter than expected. There was a lot of staff on hand during lunch, including the owner. What made my wait really fun was sitting at the soda fountain next to a family and another woman who ordered a frappe as they call it in Massachusetts. I met Rachael who served me their mint chip ice cream and knew the history about the vintage equipment their, including ice cream freezers being lowered in the late 1930s to make it easier for women to reach while the men fought in the war. Learning why a milk shake is also called a cabinet was fun, and I am not telling! Rachael was a delight!
We enjoy coming to Greenline and sitting at the counter to some ice cream. Michelle was so polite and patient when my three year old ordered her ice cream. Their seasonal mint chip flavor was a hit! The ambience also can’t be beat.
Charming retro environment with an updated, inclusive menu, including many gluten free and dairy free options! If we lived closer we would patronize the pharmacy. Thanks for your passion and attention to detail!
Amazing shop, very polite employees and very clean place. Their milkshakes are Amazing. I suggest it for people how born on 70s and 80s because it gives a vide from this age
I wish I could give them a good review but their pharmacy is a gigantic mess. You order/request meds and have to text or call again to actually get the meds. They don't seem to have a plan to fix it except for telling people that texting, auto phone with rx#, web based auto fill don't work and you should call a week before needed to get scripts filled. Why offer all those options especially since they are chronically understaffed like everywhere else. Not everyone that answers the phone knows this and will give you whatever info to appease you. When you do call for scripts you wait and then some are pretty rude. They base the refill date on previous refills that were already a few days late so you have less leeway before you run out before getting the next refill because they keep filling them late. They need to decide what they are going to be until things change, get everyone on the same page and offer fewer options so limited staff can be used effectively. Right now they are doing pharmacy very badly. Maybe they just need to be able cream parlor I hope they figure it out.
The pharmacy charged me twice for a medication i just picked up last week. When i called to ask for a refund for the double charge, the woman i spoke with all but called me a liar and refused to do anything about it even though I had proof of the double charge on my credit card statement! So much for customer service with small business here. I will NEVER support this company again!
I really wanted to love and support Greenline. I put up with them messing up a monthly prescription every single month for over a year before I switched that subscription. I still occasionally fill a temporary prescription there because I would like to support local. But I find it absolutely absurd and discriminatory that not once, but twice now they have improperly run my insurance and blatantly refused to fill a prescription without proper insurance. Even though the first time I stated I would pay cash if it couldn’t be run properly on their end and would personally submit it for reimbursement. Currently they are refusing to fill my child’s prescription because with the insurance it has a several hundred dollar copay and they can’t get his secondary insurance to go through properly. So the pharmacist just stated to me on the phone “I can’t fill this without it”.
I started getting my medications here a few months ago and I absolutely love their service. They are kind, friendly, attentive, and overall great. The products they sell here are wonderful, they have many products that are locally made, good for the environment, and women owned! And of course, their little soda bar is to die for. I come here to get their iced coffee sometimes, and its perfect! And it only costs $2! And of course, the people working at the soda bar are SO SO friendly and love to chat. Any time I get a notification that my meds are ready to pick up, I eagerly get my purse and run down here to get their products, coffee, bath stuff, and much more. Its like a little treat to get with my medicine ; I feel so much better coming here than going to those big boring pharmacies like cvs.
