Fabulous meals here. The brisket is melt-in-your-mouth delicious. All the sides are super good. The creamed corn is sweet and good. You can ask for the wings to have no sauce or on the side. The sauce is relatively spicy. You'd never believe it but the catfish is wonderful!Food: 5/5
if I could give zero Stars I would. Don't go there , save your money. Burnt beans Rice not done minus flavor Old ribs , spoiled chicken and under cooked sausage BBQ sauce was spoiled AF too Corn bread so hard, you can use it as a weapon. Guys avoid this place save your money. I called the the restaurant and spoke with the manager she definitely did not care if her food can literally poison somebody. The picture of just posted was the food I was received and threw away after tasting. Update: and I just got sick throwing up and more ... My God where's the health department at
Very laid back, good seating and parking if you have a family. Got the green mesquite potato smothered in BBQ, wife got the two meats BBQ, both stuffed and it was plenty. If your from Louisiana they’ve got Jambalaya also which is hard to find around here. Kid-friendliness: Very laid back, plenty of room in between tables.
Pretty good grub! No complaints. The sweet cornbread brought back memories of my grandmothers. The bbq sauce was pretty good, not too sweet. Next time will try the spicy. And that chocolate fudge pie is awesome! Nice, friendly folks, got my order to go but was pretty nice atmosphere.Food: 5/5
We've been here twice now and have ordered to go a few times. They have consistently good smoked meats and other options. Highly recommend.Food: 5/5
Bbq dinner with family. All the food was good. Brisket, sausage, pork ribs. Two types of sauce. Mild and hot. All tasty. Definitely recommend this locationFood: 4/5
Nice atmosphere, the wings were good. I wish they had more flavors though. Be sure to check the action figure collection they have.Recommended dishesFries, Wings
My wife and I had lunch here with my siblings. We shared the 6 piece catfish plate with scalloped potatoes and okra for sides. It was a late lunch due to work obligations, so wasn't busy at all. It took close to an hour for everyone's food to arrive. Everyone was very hungry by then. The catfish didn't taste bad, but definitely something was not quite right. Within a few hours, my wife and I were not doing well. We skipped the evening meal and went to bed but got very little sleep. Before morning we both had rounds of diarrhea and it took all of the next day for both of us to get to feeling better. I called the restaurant when they opened at 11AM, warned them about the bad fish, and asked for a refund. I was told to hold while the manager was summoned. Then I was told that the manager was not there and would call me, and I would probably get a discount next time. That call never came so I didn't get the opportunity to tell the manager that I wanted a refund because I will never eat there again. Just thinking about eating there again makes me feel sick. If anything, The Green Mesquite owes my wife and I for pain and suffering. That value is a whole lot more than the refund I was going to settle for. I just wanted my money back and to know that they wouldn't serve bad fish to anyone else. When spoiled food is served it's the result of either carelessness or just don't care. I wouldn't trust anything they serve to not be spoiled due to their failure to make things right for us. Makes me think there are a lot more people in our situation and all of them are being swept under the rug. Also makes me think that they did nothing about the spoiled fish and kept serving it to more customers. I'm retired, so I have time to write reviews. Most people don't have the time or don't want to take the time to do it. The only reason I gave them 1 star is zero or negative stars are not an option offered.
We loved it! We were there for the brisket special for $10.99. It was delicious! I also got the wings and the sauce was as good as they say. Staff was nice too. A great find.
Came here for lunch. My wife got a loaded potato and I got the green mesquite cheesesteak. They were both truly amazing!! After we had peach cobbler and fudge pie and they were awesome too. Great service by Chris, we will definitely come again!Food: 5/5
