Had my brakes done here in 2021. They needed replacing super prematurely due to salt corrosion, but unfortunately the warranty was already up. When I called to get them fixed, Nick got me in right away and honored the warranty anyway while also helping out with some other work I needed. Really friendly people and seem to be very transparent about work that needs doing and work that can wait.

Charged me $5,000 for a remanufactured transmission. It failed three times. First two worked for about 13 months. Third alleged repair did not run any better than when it was dropped off. Refund? No. The owner Nick will not refund? Thanks for nothing!!Service: Transmission

These guys are great! The local BMW dealership wrongly diagnosed my issue and these guys figure it out no problem. Can not recommend enough. They have a customer for life.

My Jeep's transmission set off an 0741 code, I took it to a Jeep Dealer in St. Albans, after their response was replace the unit to the tune of $7,500, with a two month waiting period to boot! I call our home town Amaco to inspect the 0741 issue, upon further reviewing, they deemed that there was no major issue's with the NAG-1 trans that needed replacement! they added some trans treatment and I was good to go! Wanted to share the very positive interaction w AAMCO and, in particular, with Nick. My teen son’s car broke down in Burlington and the tow truck brought it to AAMCO. Nick diagnosed the problem and helped me coordinate the towing back to my own garage. He didn’t charge me even though his support was valuable and I would have paid. A solid mechanic and a good human being!

Nick Martel and the mechanics at AAMCO in South Burlington are by far the best in Vermont! I have been to several different shops in the last year for multiply car issues over 5. AAMCO by far has won my complete trust and loyalty as a customer, I won't go anywhere else from now on. I have never been treated so well and and so completely satisfied trusting them with my beloved 1991 K5 Blazer with hard if not impossible parts to find. Nick and his team are the only ones in Vermont who were able to diagnose fix and warranty their work without causing me to declare bankruptcy. Nick and his team also went above and beyond to communicate and make sure I was happy and had no other issues even after the repair which never happens anymore today.
