The Center is nested in a natural setting, surrounded by the Greenbelt Forest Preserve. It was renovated and expanded in 2011. There is a large banquet hall that seats up to 330 people. The room can be divided into three sections to seat 200 or 100.
The relationship between culture and the natural world is a central educational theme of the Greenbelt Cultural Center. Activities at the site will include programming in history, culture, the arts, and the environment; musical and theatrical performances; meetings for civic and corporate neighbors, and use by families for picnics, reunions, or other social gatherings.
