Greene Square Park

It's crazy how much has changed. I went to the original Washington High School that sat right where the library is now between 1871 - 1875, it was demolished in 1935, but some nights I still saunter down to the old George Greene park and interact with the living folks who play games on their phones or are looking for a meal and place to sleep.

I came here at 9:15 the splash pad is closed when it supposed to close at 10 all I got was homeless people and 6 disappointed kids who wanted the splash pad with lights on!

I remember when green square meals was in that spot years ago. I miss it being there.

Not much here. A good gathering place for the homeless.

Beautiful green space in the middle of the city. Lots of space to relax and enjoy the sites and sounds of down town Cedar Rapids!

It was a big park, very nice and open gathering space. There's a train track right next to it which overpowers the noise of conversations, so don't go there when the train comes through
