Great cemetery! My wife and I bought 3 plots, one for each of us and one for her first born who we had moved there from another cemetery. During the move, we were prepared to pay to open the grave and were informed the cemetery does not charge a fee for infants. We were both surprised and pleased with a place who shows this much heart. The cemetery is always well cared for is always making improvements to make it even better.
This cemetery has been very helpful to our family and explained things to us so we know what to expect. The people in the office are always ready to answer our questions if things arise. I have several close friends and family burned at this cemetery and I'm very pleased. The grounds crew does an amazing job keeping the grounds maintained. I highly recommend this cemetery.
The staff associated with this Cemetery has provided horrible customer service to my family. The staff showed zero empathy, deflected all blame to the funeral home for their lack of information, provided no paperwork prior to services rendered and decided the best place to give the paperwork was by placing it on our loved ones grave for us to find when visiting him, made us remove any sort of decorations that we placed while awaiting his tombstone, told us after the fact about not being able to even place flowers at the site outside of certain time frames and certain holidays, charged one amount prior to service and charged an additional $1000 after services were rendered, a board member spoke to my family and actually laughed at her about the matter. The only form of apology received throughout this unacceptable process was "I'm sorry you feel that way"!! No one should be treated the way the associates with this company has treated and continues to treat my family. This type of business should provide the highest of customer service and has drastically failed in doing so.
Greenwood Cemetery is the best and most beautiful resting place in Clarksville. My son passed away 4 four years ago. It was sudden and very hard to accept. The staff at Greenwood were very empathic, helpful and understanding. They showed me various different locations on the grounds and were very helpful on picking the final resting place. They do have rules and regulations that have to be followed but it is just so the grounds are easy to maintain and to keep everything looking beautiful.
My family and myself have always have very positive experiences with the Staff at Greenwood. This dates back several generations. They have always acted in a very caring, professional, and friendly manner. They also take excellent care of the grounds, which I consider to be a large part of their services.
What we've realized here is that this company skipped corners when preparing for our family member. Rules were NOT communicated to a grieving family prior to beginning the work. We would have simply chosen another location. They were unorganized, evidenced by the fact that they forgot to even present a contract to our family prior to rendering services. Also evidenced by the $1000 misquote originally supplied to our family. Once this happened, a professional solution would have been to contact our family with one of the many forms of contact available and explain they'd made a mistake. We could have come to a solution quite easily. Instead, they chose to patronize and rub salt into fresh wounds. Instead, a contract was placed on our loved one's gravesite. We can all agree this is extremely disrespectful, as email and mail were professional and viable options. There is not much left to say, we should have chosen another home for our family.
Worst place to bury your loved one my 18 years old stepson passed away and we was getting him cremated they gave us my stepson and a plastic bag and said that we did not pay for the package that include the urn it was either the casket or urn for his ashes!! But the casket was only used for viewing his body!! Very unprofessional and if you want to make sure that your loved rest in peace and have a decent homegoing service do not go to greenwood cemetery
I HIGHLY ADVISE AGAINST USING THIS COMPANY. I had a family member buried here. My family was not properly serviced. We was not giving the correct price. We wasn’t giving any paperwork prior to my family members burial. The rules was discussed or anything. After the funeral service I was told I had an additional grand to pay.. LASTLY I FOUND AND UNSIGNED CONTRACT ON MY FAMILY MEMBERS GRAVE. THIS COMPANY IS DISRESPECTFUL AND NOT TO MENTION RUDE. BOARD MEMBER CONTACTED ME AND LAUGHED IN MY FACE.. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE
My whole life I have been visiting Greenwood Cemetery & it's been kept beautiful & clean for 60+ yrs MY whole paternal side is here & I will b also & there's not another final resting place I'd rather be! Thank you Greenwood Cemetery
This company completely took a devastating situation and made it a lot worse. In our time of grief this company has been rude disrespectful and dismissive and demeaning to our family to laugh in our faces in this time of hurt and pain to place paperwork on a grave site when the have email phone number and other means of communication to disrespect his final resting space in that matter is beyond ridiculous and to offer no sincere apologies other than o well and basically a behind to kiss. Do not use this cemetery UNPROFESSIONAL RUDE DISRESPECTFUL
