Guided by the Quaker principles of peace, integrity, equality, community, simplicity, and stewardship, Greenwood provides students from age 3 through 8th grade, with a comprehensive education that is academically rigorous, intellectually challenging, and uniquely enriching. We quantify our successes not through standards and assessments but through students’ demonstration of critical thinking, self-directed learning, creative expression, and compassion for others.
Students feel appreciated as an individuals as our teachers and staff meet them where they are academically, socially, and emotionally, teaching them how to reflect and self-advocate. With strong core academics and integrated art, music, drama, and foreign language enrichments, GFS teaches children to work collaboratively, communicate confidently, and solve problems creatively in today’s changing world.
