They have always been friendly, compassionate, and help us plan final wishes, while being understanding, and never pressuring us to plan more than we can handle. Our director, Sylvia Mantia, was very professional and caring while arranging my husbands services. She was very patient and kind and did not rush us in making any decisions. Every detail was carried out beautifully and kept our family informed during this difficult period.

Greenwood's kindness, patience, and attention to detail at my father's funeral and interment in March of 2023 was absolutely second to none. Everything from submitting the obituary I wrote to requesting the death certificates went without a hitch or issue. Over the years, we have had several burials at Greenwood for various family members, and each and every one been handled with the utmost care, respect, and professionalism. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

After I submitted my mother’s obituary to Greenwood, I was sent their posting. It was as I sent it to them. The night before the funeral, I had occasion to pull up the obituary on their website. Unlike the copy I’d reviewed, on the website an ad interrupted the text of the obituary. The ad was for the sale of “fingerprint jewelry.” The ad used my mother’s name and hawked jewelry that purported to feature her actual fingerprint. I was stunned by the placement of this crass ad. At no time did Greenwood request or receive permission to use my mother’s name for commercial purposes or to sell any image or imprint of her remains. The removal of the ad after I told the funeral director of my dissatisfaction did not detract from the outrageous liberty taken by Greenwood with my mother’s memory and remains. What a breach of trust.

Ms. Sylvia and the staff were wonderful to work with! They made a stressful situation easy and friendly! I appreciate all of their hard work on the Video, prayer cards, and especially the day of the service!
