RENTER BEWARE: I have been at this location for a few years and the quality has really dropped lately. I really cant recommend living here even if you found a good price. First off, rent increases by at least $100 a month when you need to renew. On top of that this winter we have lost heat and water three times. I am also aware of two buildings that have also been flooded in that time as well including my own. There is one trash location on the property and its a compactor that breaks at least once every 3 months and trash collects outside in a mound. This is a gated community and in my experience gates are more commonly broken then they are working. If you do decide to live here for whatever reason make sure you have a few gallons of clean water and a space heater. Don't expect much help or sympathy from the leasing office because in my experience they are more focused on deflecting blame than helping fix anything. I really don't like leaving bad reviews, but honestly enough is enough and I would hate to see anyone else get stuck here in these conditions.
I lived here from 2021-2023. When I first moved in, the rent was affordable, the pool was clean and the staff was nice. I want to echo was another reviewer wrote below. In 2022, mice started pouring in from the walls. Sounds like a hoarder situation a few buildings down was handled and the mice were relocating. I called the management and begged for pest control. They did come and set traps. However, they would put Traps with dead mice on my kitchen table. They would cancel pest control visits. They would tell me to go buy my own traps. This continued for over six months. Can you imagine living with active mice infestation for that long? I would hear mice running around at night, and when I would open my front door coming home, I would see the mice scattering to hide. I reported them as violating the Colorado Housing authority on pest control. So after pest control was not able to contain the situation and I was having to stay at friend's houses to avoid having mice pee on all my things, I asked them to move me to another unit or let me break my lease. They wanted me to pay $1000/extra a month to move to the same floor plan in a different building. When I said I wanted to move and break my lease since I didn't want to live with mice actively destroying my things and peeing in my kitchen, I asked them to waive the lease break fee. I got word from upper management that I didn't have enough cause to do so. So then, they sent my lease termination fee to IQ data - a collections agency - they sent it 5 months after I moved out, and the collection agency is charging me interest from the day I moved out, even though I called them three times to try to get my account information to pay before interest accrued. So what does this review mean to you a potential renter. Maybe it will be fine, and you won't have mice and it's great. That was the first year I lived here. Or if you have a problem, they won't care about you as a person living with dozens of mice running around and will send you to collections as the ultimate "we don't care about you, we just care about our money." Greenwood Plaza. You had so many chances to be kind. You had a chance to treat me with compassion when your unit was flooded with mice and instead you decided to go for your bottom line. Someone living in a different state from your management company just told me tough luck. Now I am having to pay $50 interest on a balance you didn't send until 5 months after I moved out. I am powerless to fight it, and so I just warn anyone looking to rent here - DON'T. They don't care about you. They will not work with you. You are an account to be collected on. I understand that most one star reviews might sound like just coming from someone who didn't get their way. I was never late with my rent, I called and communicated constantly. I was responsible. But in return, I didn't get treated as a fellow human being who didn't want to live in mice dropping filth.
This is my favorite apartment complex I’ve lived at. I’ve been here for a year and haven’t had any major issues. I will say things seem to be going downhill a bit recently, but I’ve enjoyed the year we’ve had thus far. Pros: -The apartment is nice, pricing is decent, and the location is great if you want to be near things but not in the mess of Denver. Multiple restaurants, grocery stores, the library, walking paths, etc are within walking distance of the complex. -The staff are generally friendly -The gym is small but has all the basic equipment you need -The new pool chairs and umbrellas are great -I feel safe living here -The maintenance team has always been quick to fix any issues -Some reviews mention the trash- there is only one compactor for the entire complex so there are some times when it gets full / is being dumped and trash is piled up but maintenance usually takes care of it the next day. I live right by the compactor and it has never been a serious issue. -Fiddlers green is a block away so if I open my windows in the summer I can hear the concerts and that’s really nice -I haven’t had any issues with packages getting stolen -The complex seems to mostly be young adults or people without children. There are a few families, but I haven’t had any issues with screaming children and it’s not uncommon to go to the pool and have no kids there. Cons: -Last year the pool typically looked clean. It’s been open for over a month now and is filthy pretty much every single day. I’m hesitant to even use it because you can see the grime all over the bottom and the bugs floating at the surface. The robot cleaner they have is not sufficient and I wish they would prioritize cleaning it as they clearly added new chairs and umbrellas and redid some of it to make it a bigger appeal. -I’ve never once had my call be answered when calling the office. I’ve also never been called back when I leave a voicemail, even when I was just wanting to tour to see if I wanted to live here. Luckily I work from home so if I have a question or need something I can go in person, which not everyone can do. Especially now that they regularly close the office early. I have also gone in person a few times and was told I would get a call bc they weren’t sure about my question and never received a call. -All of the gates have probably actually worked maybe 20 days total in the year I’ve been here. The area is safe so they’re not really necessary but don’t expect them to ever be functional. -They could do a better job about having workers provide identification when they need to enter the apartment. The staff turnaround here is pretty severe, so it’s hard to recognize workers who show up. They’ve never provided any kind of badge or identification- and it would be nice if they did especially for women home alone. -The packages are honestly a nightmare. There needs to be a bigger locker area or staff delivering packages that have been sitting in there for too long. I know it shouldn’t be their job, but keeping it organized and free of rotting food has to fall on someone at some point. -Honestly having more staff in the office could solve half the cons for the complex. The main person is touring for the majority of the day, so it doesn’t really leave them the necessary time to do anything else. -Some of the parking spaces are TINY. Like almost impossible to open your car door tiny. And in general parking is pretty hard to come by if you get home after 6pm. I would say once or twice a week I need to park on the complete opposite side of the complex from my apartment.
Parking is a real problem. Paying for guest parking and residents parking is a total waste. If you arrive home after 5 or 6 PM as a resident there are no spaces available near unit and forget later in the evening or evening on a weekend.. paying for parking and not having available spaces is unfair at best. The package room is a major problem . Notification of a delivery only to find no package. Not sure if it’s thrift but packages at just left on the floor and there are multiple package. Beyond those issues I enjoy our apartment.
the guys were very nice, however I still do not have the glass shelf in my frig. I think it's on order but not sure. Also, my other request to have my carpet cleaned went unanswered. They just closed the ticket. the front office rarely replies to emails and returns call and never answer their phone. I think they are short staffed but it's been this way since i moved in. I'd give 5 stars to the guys who came out, just wish i had the glass shelf or at least an idea when i will. thanks
This place is a total joke. After being moved into the wrong apartment was supposed to be one story up we are on the ground level. I haven’t been able to get ahold of a single person with any kind of authority. I have sent emails back and fourth with them completely blowing off the meeting they scheduled to talk about it. I moved in before my lease was signed before they collected my deposit and never even got to speak to a single person who works here like that’s a normal practice. The ground level unit Is infested with Ants and your packages will constantly be stolen from the package room that specifically says to not leave packages in unless in a lockbox. If you like being taken advantage off this is the place for you
I selected Greenwood for a number of reasons, but, the most important…Security! In the two years I’ve been here, the security system has been unreliable and it takes too long to get resolved. When Cushman Mgmt team was in town a few weeks ago, the system miraculously worked. How did the one vendor finally fix the front gates just in time for the visit‍?? How about additional security on-site making sure homeless people aren’t on the property????? Since the management visit, the majority of time front gate has worked, tho the front east gate is only partially open at times and the back East gate on Syracuse, is fully open, more than closed. Mailroom: Last summer over the 4th of July weekend … packages were left on the street… to this day… over one year later…STILL NOT RESOLVED. Who is going to reimburse me for my most recent missing package? Please send along the name and address of the individual I can contact send along my costs for the replacement article… ‍. Saying USPS IS THE WORST OFFENDER JUST DROPPING PACKAGES AND WALKING AWAY… doesn’t work!! Cushman Mgmt needs to put the resources on-site to solve this ongoing travesty. You do not have a workable or reliable system in place. FIX IT! This property is really ideal for me regarding work and I like the pool, when it’s clean! I’m staying because convenience to work. Otherwise, the above issues are broken and need resolution NOW. I would not recommend anyone moving into this complex as a result.
I’ve only just moved in, so my review comes with only a few days of being here. But the move-in process was smooth. The maintenance crew responded fast and overall one of the better move-in experiences I’ve had.
This apartment complex is turning ghetto quick. The pool looks like it belongs in section 8 housing. It takes months for anything to get fixed. The water fountain near the gym has been broken for months. I’ve been here for 2 years and this new management that took over has run this place to the ground. If you’re looking for an apartment complex this one is not it. Look else where, the Mezz is right across the street. Good luck to the people that live near the dumpster, that place looks like a homeless encampment on the weekends.
Grounds are clean and well kept. Apartment are very clean, freshly painted and carpeted. Staff are very professional and maintenance is very punctual.
