Love this spot. Lots of cozy areas to read in. Nice trail to walk. Nice scenery. Covered eating areas. Splash pad for the kids. My fave spot is the creek though. So peaceful and grounding! I only wish the trail in the creek area was better maintained and for more cleared space to relax along the water. Can get congested pretty quickly.
Love the creek area. There is a nice splash pad for the little kids. A basketball hoop in the parking lot. I have seen people grill and picnic. One paved loop around it. Dog friendly. Restrooms: Haven't used but saw public bathrooms Dog-friendliness: People walk their dogs here Picnic area: I know they had picnic tables, and I think I saw a Pavillion too
Great park, lots of options. There is a fountain park in the summer and it gets busy. Tons of tables, a playground and several gazebos of different sizes. Public bathroom
Worth a quick stop in the area, just to walk down and check out the creek area! It makes you feel like you are in a lagoon! A nice spot for a couple hours in the afternoon. A decent walking path/circle, we saw a few deer which was pretty cool, a lot of benches and swings for a reading spot. Park seemed very clean and well maintained. Wasn't a huge playground area, so if that is what you are looking for, for really young kids might not be the stop for you.
MY KIDS ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE MOMENT WE PULLED UP WE WERE AT AWE AT THE BEAUTY OF THE LANDSCAPE AND HOW CLEAN AND NEAT EVERYTHING IS. I RATE THIS PARK A 10/10 IF YOU ARE TRAVELERS LIKE THE WELCH FAMILY WE RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.
Was a really nice park. Great sensory and beautiful. What really got me was the river at the park. It was sooo beautiful and peaceful. If I could and live near that park, it would be the place to go to clear your mind. Seeing an odd fruit that only deer and squirrels can eat only the seeds was pretty cool and learning about the fruit was even better.
Nice little, clean park. You can walk around it paved and it's fairly easy. There are picnic tables, many seats, clean bathrooms, and a little water area where kids can run under a water bucket. I think it's called a "splash pad" where kids/their parents can run under the water. There are areas you can BBQ and there's even a big swing where 2-4 people can sit. There's also a wooded area where you can sit/walk by the creek no swimming though. There is disabled parking, a basketball area part of the parking lot and you can take dogs on a leash.
Great park for the little ones. Lots of shade for the old ones. Very nice and unique play areas. Also, a nice walking path with a good bit of shade. I like to just sit and rest a bit after the walk. Nice relaxing, family place.
Better than your typical local park if you make use of the splash pad or want to observe great blue herons by the creek. The main issue is the overwhelming sewage smell on the left side of the park that is unlikely to be remedied. The haphazard placement of the hoop in the parking lot area is kinda annoying too, but thankfully Hilltop Rosenwald Park has good basketball courts.
It has been a few years since I visited the park and time has been good to this little hidden jem in Smyrna, weather you want to take your kiddos to the splash pad at the front or go on a leisurely stroll with the love of your life on the walking trail or if your adventurous like my fiance and I and venture off the beaten path and walk along the creek. It will be worth every minute you spend there.
