A volunteer library run entirely by people who not only love books, but wish to make a difference in their community.
Groveland Community Library is an all-volunteer organization. We are not supported by any tax dollars, only by the donations of our patrons and the annual library card fee. We are blessed with a group of very dedicated people who spend their time staffing our library out of their sheer love of books.
We have a complete children's section, divided into beginning, intermediate and Step-Into-Reading books for children just beginning to love books. We have a Juniors section for more advanced readers, and of course our Adult section. Additionally, we have over 400 DVD's and many audio books available for our patrons.
We host a monthly Story Hour for children with stories, activities, crafts and snacks. Each summer we have a 6-week reading program with weekly prizes and a party at the end. This program allows adults to have as much fun as the children. We also host occasional special programs and events.
We hope you will make use of your library. We love to have our patrons stop in and chat about books or anything else that comes to mind! And if you have an extra 2 hours a month, we would love to have you join us as a volunteer. It's a great way to meet your neighbors and become part of the wonderful world of books!
Enjoy! Read! Have Fun! We love having you as part of our library.
