It’s a commercial version of the Latin rotisserie chicken you love. It’s not the greatest but it’s good. The service is courteous and prompt. I would have liked more yucca fries with my side order of yucca fries, but I didn’t necessarily NEED more yucca fries.
Tried this restaurant for the first time and it was a good experience. Ordering was pretty easy and it had the screen you could order from as well. It was during lunch time and the food did not take long. I was intrigued by the mango juice which tasted okay. We sat outside and they brought our food out which was nice. Overall, I would revisit.
Had the combo with cheese enchilada, taco, and chicken. Was all delicious. They no longer let you serve yourself to the sauces, but bring you one with your plate. Their unique flavors are always worth the visit, but be prepared to have to go back to the counter and in line for refills on anything, including additional sauces, etc.
Food was good. But unfortunately the fact that there doesn’t seem to be an honor system is the reason for the low rating. I’m from out of town and decided to host a dinner with family. I looked online and saw that Guapo’s had catering. I’ve never tried this place but ratings were good, food looked good and it was advertised that they did same day catering. As I looked at the online menu, I saw highlighted “most popular” fajita bar.Online it stated $19.95 per person I was hosting a party of 8.I called and spoke with Alicia to place my order. Once she gave the total $195, I was confused bc it was higher than what made sense. When asking her over the phone, she said prices went up. I didn’t make a fuss, I thought we can talk about it once I pick up. Surely they will HONOR their menu, right? NOPE, they didn’t she said the online menu was wrong and prices are up. So I was over charged and there wasn’t anything I could do. Again the food was good, but the fact that this company has no HONOR or INTEGRITY left a bad taste in my mouth.
Best food and the tapioca fries are so yummy that it tastes exactly like potato fries. I tried the dark grilled chicken with rice and beans with pork and some tortillas and I loved every bite of it.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesCurbside pickup: No
I’ve been here like 2-3 times and usually order a quesadilla but wanted to try something new so I ordered the chicken nacho platter. It looked appetizing but the stench that came from the dish as it was placed in front of me was terrible! I’m not even sure how to describe the smell but it was really funky. I ate 2 pieces and couldn’t finish it because I had a bad feeling I’d end up with a really bad stomach ache. The fried yucca is good though. My fiancé enjoys the steak quesadillas. The manager had asked how our food was and I kindly let her know about the stench. She said she would speak to the cooks but that’s about it. I hope you have a better experience if you end up ordering this entree!
This 5 star rating is long overdue. Every time I've gone to a Guapos, it's always a good experience and food great. This time at this location was a great experience with great food hands down. I've visited before, one in Woodbridge, VA and another in Manassas, VA. The business as a whole is consistent. I ordered combo #3 which included beans, Spanish rice, beef crunchy taco, chicken enchilada and 1/4 chicken grilled. My friend ordered #6 I believe. It was the beef, chicken and cheese enchilada plate. Ok so back to me, I asked for white meat for my chicken choice because it's easy to mess up white meat and have it dry. Boy was I wrong but right to put them to the test. Chicken was not dry. In fact, super juicy and flavorful! Steaming right on the plate so you can tell it was freshly freshly hot . Normally I don't care too much about rice or beans to review but man were they a great complement to the rest of the dish. Not mushy and vegetables in the rice was appreciated as well. Now for that beef taco . This next statement is going to be a big allegation here but that beef taco was EASILY top 5 best crunchy taco I've ever had in my life! What makes it the best?? Well, I'm glad you asked. See, I worked at a Mexican restaurant before in Texas and I know beef tacos. This shell was fresh, not stale. Lettuce and cheese mix was also fresher and the beef itself, again hot to the temperature. The juice of the beef didn't over power the shell as sometimes folk do beef tacos but don't drain enough of the grease leaving the taco greasy and crunchy shell mushy and soft. At Guapos, this is not the case! Perfection to the level of allowed grease and idk about you but I like a little moisture to my beef so it worked just fine. Once you add a little of the green sauce not slasa verde it's another little green sauce they give you and man I wish I knew the name of it. I'll ask when I go back . But this sauce has a spicy kick and let me tell you, drop that on your taco or chicken, you wouldn't want to leave this place. Now sadly, I didn't care too much for the chicken enchilada. That to me was not as good as the other things on the plate. It's packed with cheese on the top and green sauce, this time, probably salsa verde of course on a corn tortilla. Still good but the chicken itself was a little tough to chew, slightly dry. Crazy right! You would think if the white meat 1/4 chicken was good then the chicken enchilada would pass said same test but no. Even still, 5 stars to you guys because it's been multiple tries for me and enjoyed each one. Also, my friend and I ordered at 3:11pm ish and food was at our table by 3:15. No lie! I even said, Wow, rapido!! To the server . She even came picked our plates up when we were done like 30 min later as my friend and I sat and talked. Look man, clearly I can just keep going on and on about this place. Please try them!!!! Enough said. Features: The staff wore masks but we did not have to.
Pretty good but definitely not your authentic Peruvian spices and in this area if you see rotisserie chicken you think Peruvian. I got the mixed platter chicken, enchilada, taco two sides and it was amazing. Have to say all those items on one plate are so good and fun for the taste buds. Sauces were ok, not needed but would have been nice to be thicker seemed watery due to fountain style and take as much as you want.
Everything on the menu is 10/10 definitely will be back.
Enjoyed the atmosphere and the chicken sandwich I ordered but I saw so many delicious dishes that other patrons ordered that I wish I would have included some of the sides and an adult beverage with my meal. The chicken sandwich was filled with the delectable skewered chicken cooked on a spit and peppers, onions, cheese, etc. I can't wait to go back.
