Dr. Guarino was introduced to chiropractic at a very young age by her dear uncle Arnold. He was a practicing chiropractor in New Rochelle NY. for many years.
Uncle Arnold was the stimulus for many of her family to go into healthcare as a profession. Her eldest brother, Dr. Ralph Guarino is a internist in Toms River, NJ; her brother Dr. Vito Guarino a chiropractor; her twin brother Dr.Joe Guarino a cardiologist in Toms River; her niece and nephew Dr. Donna Bischoff and Dr. Robert Bischoff both chiropractors in Toms River. Her sister Maryann Adubato is the office manager for their brother Ralph.
Dr. Susan Guarino attended Immaculate Conception High School in Montclair NJ. She then graduated Union College in Cranford NJ, and went on to attend and graduate from New York Chiropractic College in Old Westbury NY. in 1977. She finished her clinical experience in the NYCC clinic in Manhattan, where many students from the Juilliard school were patients.
Upon licensure, she opened Bloomfield Chiropractic Center in Bloomfield NJ in 1977, and after 5 years moved to Belleville where she remains to this day.
Dr. Guarino prides herself on teaching alternative and holistic approaches to healthcare, along with the importance of healthy spinal mechanics. Her patients range from infants to her eldest senior at 100 years old who are all taught the importance of keeping their nervous system at its highest potential of well being through chiropractic care.
