Grateful for the services provided to transfer out loved one to Mexico. Staff so helpful specially Ericka. We were given an approximate time of 4-6 weeks and our love one was transferred within 3 weeks. Thank you.
I’ll be completely honest, looking at the old reviews a week before I was very concerned and uncertain, but when the day came, wow! From the staff, the atmosphere, patio & the service was amazing! Also loved how they suggested the pictures on the bench side. When it was all over we left with so much peace because of the outcome. The staff did an amazing job with my mother.n.law! So grateful and definitely recommend this place.
Very grateful for the service that was provided for my mom and also really like how the staff was sensitive to my family through these tough times they made it easier. Definitely left at peace and really liked the staff’s service, they were very helpful, my mom looked beautiful and the way they fixed the flowers arrangements that my family brought was also beautiful! If felt like a home , it was really a comfortable feeling to be there together with our immediate family and very , very few friends . It never felt over whelming to be there . The ambiance they created was peaceful and inviting . It allowed us as a family to let my mom go , because she looked so beautiful and at peace . Everything from the position of the flower arrangements to the candles and the casket were positioned in a pect way to allow us to transition to a new life as well as my mom and dad's new life . I know there were many involved in my mom and dad's care and preparation . I want to say thank you so much for the quality and human kindness you express throughout the business aspect of it all . My mom's viewing took place at Guerra-Cunningham-Bagues Mortuary in Huntington Park, in the month of November 2021. My experience with the staff was beyond good. Amy is very professional, knowledgeable, helpful and answered all our questions. She made sure we received the casket we ordered, on time. And I am including this because the casket selected was no longer being manufactured and they only had 10 left in stock, so she rushed the order. Now, there was a mistake that happened on the casket price quoted to us. The casket we selected had a higher cost from the cost we were originally given. The price difference was approximately $500-$700 I can't remember the actual amount because I was deeply sad during that time. Amy brought this to our attention, and because this was a mistake made by their staff, she honored the original cost of the casket, and did not charge us the original higher price. This is excellent customer service! I rarely come across businesses who own up to their mistakes and make amends with their customers. Gregory has a heart of gold and genuine compassion for people in grief. Gregory was responsible for getting my mom ready for the viewing and he did a magnificent job! She looked beautiful and peaceful. He helped me arrange the flowers around the casket, in the best position. He made me feel like we were old friends during my short interaction with him. I am very grateful he took good care of my mom. The place is very clean and nice. They provided all the equipment needed to present our slideshow, a microphone and a speaker. There was a staff member present during the viewing which was a great help. She welcomed our guests and directed them towards the guest book signing. It was nice to have someone around to help us with questions and small simple tasks, because when you are grieving, we are not 100% focused. The viewing was scheduled to end at 8pm. But she waited for us until almost 8:30pm to gather our things and say our final goodbye to our mom. She waited with grace and patience. My family was deeply grateful for this. The following day, we had the burial. Their driver was very professional and kind. All the flowers were brought from the mortuary and he arranged them near the gravesite. He helped us coordinate the processional with our pallbearers and our pastor. Once again, I was grateful for his help and support, during this difficult time for us. Each staff member behaved with compassion, professionalism, and with deep empathy towards my family, and with great respect towards our beloved mom. This is the third time we have used this funeral home. We previously held the viewings of both of my grandparents here, and this will continue to be our place of choice in the future for our family. And for anyone out there, who just lost a loved one, my deepest condolences to you. It is a painful time. I miss my mom every day. To bad i couldn't give them a ZERO STAR!!!Yes ZERO STAR these people hustled us for $600 dollars either pay or get your ashes thrown away!!!We ordered 1 urn and they sent us two wity the wrong writing bcuz nobody communicated saying we have the order and we talk to 4 different people they told us oh well either take them or thrown away!!Then from.Los Angels to Ventura California 50 miles they said it would cost $200 dollars to SHIP!!!That is a lie and we used these people out of reference dont trust them.we will be taking them to court!!ASAP..Philip is who i talk too.

#1 On June 12th we confirmed the dates for both the viewing June 18th @ 5pm and the mass at St. Elena Catholic Church in South Gate June 19th @ 10am, followed by the burial at the Rose Hills. We confirmed this info with family and friends as many needed to ask permission from their jobs. My sister Gaby gets a call from the mortuary on 06/15 in the afternoon with them stating that there was no one available to do the rosary for the viewing and they also didn’t have anyone for the burial. They stated that if we wanted them to get someone else, WE, THE CUSTOMERS, HAD TO PAY EXTRA. In other words, the dates were already confirmed by the mortuary and we had confirmed with our family and friends and they had confined with their jobs but since THEY cannot deliver their end of the deal, WE CUSTOMERS have to pay extra! The other option was for them to look for another church for us somewhere in L.A. Outrageous!!! I have the text conversations between my sisters and I with dates to prove this. Oh, and if we wanted music at church we had to pay $100 more. Why not disclose ALL charges when doing the breakdown of the contract?? #2 The cards that were passed during the viewing had the wrong date. Our step father passed away on 06/08/18 NOT on 06/10/18 picture of card and DVD to show the difference, attached. #2 The viewing was from 5pm-9pm, the bread arrived at around 7:30pm. #3 The slide show was not ready when we arrived, so we had total silence until 7pm. #4 Our step dad’s pic was supposed to have been placed by the door but instead was placed next to his casket. #5 The mortuary forgot to drop off the picture at church on 06/19, so we had the mass with no picture of him, and we had to go pick it up another day. #6 We requested a letter for my brother to be excused from missing work and AGAIN, the date of death was wrong 6/10/18 AND also the location of death. He passed away in Huntington Park, the letter says he passed away in Tulare, Ca., which is 167 miles away! Again, picture of letter attached. I understand that as humans we can make mistakes, and that’s ok. However, when many mistakes happen, it seems as the people who are in charge are careless, unprofessional, and uncaring. If you want to have total chaos with your funeral services, than this is the place to go to. Otherwise, we do not recommend their services and will never use them again. We paid thousands of dollars up front for us to be treated with no respect, dignity, or empathy. We were going through such a difficult time and felt that they were not taking our pain seriously. You have been warned! And yes, the place is very clean but their lack of organizational skills and poor customer service, makes it a terrible place to chose for your loved ones.
I dont know how to rate this place.. we recently held services for my brothers viewing the staff was really friendly and amicable and understanding they were very understanding.. this is the place were they will treat your angels as one if their own. Thank you
