Clay Whittaker founded Gulf Coast Adoptions with the goal to help create new forever families. He and his wife Cheryl have lived in Pensacola, Florida for nearly seven years, have been married for five, and are the proud parents of an adoptive newborn girl. As a new father, Clay knew he could help others experience the joys of parenthood through adoption. Thus, Gulf Coast Adoptions was born.
Clay is a native Floridian, receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida (Go Gators!), and graduated from Stetson University College of Law. He is a licensed attorney in the State of Florida since 2008, and later obtained his license to practice in Alabama in 2012.
As an adoptive parent and attorney, Clay is familiar with both the personal and legal aspects of adoption. Clay believes that there is no more selfless act than a birth-mother's decision to place her child for adoption. Clay and Gulf Coast Adoptions are here to listen, not judge, and to provide birth-mothers with the information they need to make decisions in her–and her child’s–best interest.
