My daughters who are 8 and 16 started at GCDA the summer of 2020. My youngest is on the company team and my oldest takes recreation classes. Having been through competition dance with my oldest and moving quite a bit we have experienced several dance studios throughout the years. Auburn, Luverne, Lagrange & Fairhope to name a few. I can honestly say hands down that overall the instruction at GCDA is the best we have had! Melissa and her staff are going to Create and environment for success for your child. The kids and teachers were also very nice to my girls who were newcomers. Honestly, it just felt like home. If you’re on the fence about joining GCDA just do it! You will not regret it.
GCDA has quickly become our 2nd “home” - from my daughters friendships with her team, to the amazing staff and dance Moms, it has been a blessing to find our dance family! My daughter started dancing there when she was 3, and has moved through the preschool classes, performance team, and now dances with their company. She loves every minute she is at the studio, and is constantly learning and growing. GCDA has the best instructors, and provides so many opportunities for their dancers to learn and grow from guest choreographers and instructors from across the country. The dancers are so supportive of each other, and I love that the older dancers take time to help mentor the younger ones. Whether you are looking to dance recreationally, or competitively, GCDA offers it all!
Best dance school in southern Alabama, maybe even the state. Instructors are excellent. If you want your child to advance and your child truly has potential this is the place.
