Gunn Park

Stopped here for a break while riding my Harley and it was nice. Great open spaces, a pavilion, and right on the lake. It felt relaxed and I'd definitely go back to this park again.

Nice park on Prairie lake with access to the Mesabi trail. Also look for a nice walking path through the area woods.

Very clean and well taken care of property. Baseball fields are well maintenance. The pavilion over looks the lake and is huge for social events. Has a large selection of tables and a large area for eating and serving that are protected from the elements. Also water and electric where needed to accommodate. Restrooms are respectable and clean. Highly recommended for everything from a place for a walk by the lake to a huge celebration.

Beautiful park . Just 3 miles north of Grand rapids, right on prairie lake.

Quiet and empty of people, great park

The picnic shelter is big and beautiful. I’ve launched kayaks and swam near the pine grove to the northwest of the shelter. It’s not an official boat landing and there’s no beach but it’s a short walk from the parking lot and the bottom of the lake is sandy.

A beautiful, comfortable, and peaceful park for yourself.

Gunn Park was a great venue for my wedding! We were able to reserve the pavilion and had plenty of space for all of the guests, food, and room for dancing and mingling.

Beautiful park with tall pine trees along the shores of Prairie Lake. Large Pavilion which is perfect for graduation parties, wedding receptions, etc. Baseball fields along Highway 38 where Itasca Little League games are held.
