Gunzo's Hockey Headquarters operates three freestanding stores in the Chicagoland area. In 2013, Gunzo's celebrated 50 years of serving the hockey community here in Chicago.
We carry a full selection of hockey equipment for all ability levels and budgets. We also are a full service shop and can perform most skate repairs as needed.

Who is Gunzo? Wally Gunzo spent 15 years in the NHL with the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks. In 1963, he founded Gunzo's Sports Center, Inc. in Berwyn, IL. After a fire destroyed that store, Gunzo opened a new, bigger location at 7706 West Madison St. in River Forest, IL. That store still stands today, and the company has now expanded to Morton Grove and Chicago's West Loop neighborhood.
In the 1970s through the mid-80's, Gunzo's was the exclusive equipment provider for the Chicago Blackhawks. Legends such as Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita, Tony Esposito and other Blackhawks players got their gear at Gunzo's.
Today, Gunzo's three stores in the Chicago area serve the growing and thriving hockey community in Chicago. We pride ourselves on our history, excellent service and competitive prices. We're confident you won't find better service or better prices anywhere else.
