Not only did she fry off the hair but gaslit explaining it’s just a big change … like yeah going from very long hair to a bob now is a big change ! She had the nerve to try and charge $500 for her horrible service and ruining years of growing out my hair.Services: Haircut

I cannot recommend this place enough! I have been going here for awhile now transferring from going to a salon in downtown Chicago and I am constantly blown away by Danielle Wright's work. She is in tune to my style of highlights/blonding and my other hairstyling needs. If you are ever in the area or are looking for amazing work, she's a must to see! I had booked an appointment for a blowout with Kay for my Engagement photos. She canceled on me 1 hour before our appointment then got me in anyway. I was so dissatisfied with the outcome that I ran home quickly to shower & did it myself. Im a hairstylist and I was looking forward to someone pampering me. The lack of interest this girl showed for my hair started at the shampoo bowl, when I got my hair washed for maybe 50 seconds total. Product was still lingering and just not a good scrub or a massage. Secondly, you could tell she was a brand new stylist/assisting because when we got back to the chair she couldn’t get a straight clean part for my hair and said “it’s so hard to do this on other people”. That shocked me. She didn't round brush my hair and put no effort into blowdrying. Still felt damp. I have short fine hair and she started curling my hair with a way oversized curling iron. I got home and my hair was already straight. I don’t know if it’s because she was nervous, new, or felt comfortable not caring because it was just one other stylist there not paying attention or “watching over her”. Tip for you Guru: Don't put a client that is new to your salon with a big occasion, with a newbie. especially if they aren’t gonna give it their all….even if it is just a “simple” blowout.. these girls should have blowouts mastered if your going to charge 55 dollars! This salon offers nothing but satisfaction. It is such a beautiful and comfortable atmosphere and it is great knowing that the stylists are so passionate about what they do. I have always been amazed that Courtney can achieve the blonde that I want, while keeping my hair healthy over the years! This is an amazing team and I know this salon will have GREAT success. Miriah is the hair stylist that did my wife’s hair!! Over priced for a half As$ job! Full highlights that have streaks and and didn’t even cover her grey over $400 bucks!! Save your money! And all there advertising is all based on the stylist that work there! Don’t be fooled same as their Yelp reviews, most of them are from friends, stylist that work there, and probably there bfs. Ohh and to MENTION THEY NEVER GIVE YOU A PRICE UNTIL AFTER YOUR HAIR IS DONE!. Worst salon ever!Services: Haircut

Guru Salon and the team who work there are just the BEST. The environment is beautiful and every time I feel pampered and gorgeous! Mariah has been my stylist for years now and she always exceeds my expectations. I have been from blonde to brunette to red hair, and every time it looks beautiful and healthy. I’m thankful to have a stylist that I can trust and who genuinely cares about the quality of service. Everyone who works there treats you like family. I can’t express how much I love this place in this short review, so go and check it out yourself. You will not be disappointed.

This salon is so beautiful - modern and trendy! I've followed Courtney Rae from previous 2 salons that she worked at and continue to recommend her to my friends - her work is amazing! I also follow many of the stylists here on social media and have interacted with some of them in person - really sweet girls and their portfolios look great!
