At walk-ins. Unfortunately they are packed. We got her at 8:20am. The hospital is having a craft fair tomorrow and decided to take away the extra chairs. They have patients are sitting on the wet floor because it’s been raining. How awful for the amount of money that is spent on our insurance and you can’t bring a sick child and get a chair to sit in. They had over 13 people by 9am with no seats and some patients looking like they are going to pass out. Update at 9:20am a NP from the walk-ins finally had someone open the doors to the family practice so people had someone where to sit. By 9:30 they put some of the chairs back after all of our complaints. This at no point was this the walk-ins fault. They already walked into a long and stressful day and the hospital doing that to them because of a craft fair did not help them but only made the patients more aggravated towards them.
Same Day Surgical Services were exceptional. Waiting area with electronic patient updates and obviously caring staff. Appreciate the extra mile help for patient and family! Even the Cafeteria food was good!
Had a terrible experience with my husband's care. Tried to tell them that he was having reaction to cancer treatment. No one would listen. Finally started him on right meds 5 days after admission. When we got follow up appt with roswell they doubled his treatment now he's a week behind on treatment. So many other horrific things too numerous to list. I met with patient advocate but I don't expect anything to be done. Never ever step foot in that building again
Shout out to Respiratory Kendal. I was recently admitted for 6 days. Upon arriving I was immediately rushed into the ER. All doctors and nurses did an amazing job. However, Kendal went above and beyond . I was so hungry after 24 hours that he went out of his way and out of his own pocket and bought me a latte and cookie from Starbucks. Made my day.
Their blatant disrespect towards a vet who just had his leg amputated the incompetence of the phlebotomist who did not remove the food tray away from the patient before drawing blood spilled his drink all over him and did nothing to get him fresh bedding or gown. She grabbed her things and left the room. The phlebotomist fell on the man's freshly amputated leg and used it to push herself back up. I commend the compassion of the ICU team that was taken care of him before he was moved down to floor 6.
The entire Guthrie system is ABSOLUTELY the WORST medical care I’ve ever come across. The high school drop-out clerks run the place , and EVERYTHING is adjusted for what is easiest for them. I wouldn’t go back if I was at deaths door. The Wellsboro office never answers the phone - but if you go into the office all the girls are just hanging out chatting with each other while the phones ring and are sent to voice mail. HORRIBLE!!!!
I do not recommend going here. My 7 month old son had an allergic reaction and they gave him multiple medications to make him act doped out. It’s now 3:10am and he’s crying and rocking back and forth. When I called the hospital to see what I should do the doctor I spoke to was beyond rude. Never again.
I had a surgery here Oct. 2022 to allow me to breathe through my nose and sleep better. Thank you for the level of care that you all have provided during my visit.
My mother was brought to Er on Wednesday Wednesday 26 th Nov. she spent all day at er until 1:15 am before getting a room. Then trying to get released is an absolute JOKE! Could not get a dr in room at all Friday morning, been at hospital since 8 am and at 12 still no dr or release paperwork!!!
For over 20 years, consistently remains the most disappointing hospital cafeteria I've ever been to. No labels with relevant information such as common allergens on prepared foods. Almost impossible to find anything fresh or natural. No gluten free alternatives, no non-dairy milks offered. Lots of fried stuff, white pasta, white squishy bread, hydrogenated oils, and a few shriveled and/or overcooked vegetables. No nutritious protein snacks such as roasted nuts, small packs of natural jerky, natural almond or peanut butter, Larabars, non-dairy yogurts, hard boiled eggs, etc either in the cafeteria or in the after-hours vending machine array. No unsweetened seltzer water in the vending machines or cafeteria that I could find. Not even any shelf stable single serve almond milk or such. In a community where there is no option for having decent food delivered from any local places that's right, no Ubereats, no DoorDash..., somehow this hospital just has no clue that folks coming here from out of town might need actual sustenance, or that sick people could want anything tasty, attractive, and nourishing. I mean, would a parsley garnish be too much to ask?
