Officer N. Anderson bagde# 2043 harrassed me and my mother Thursday 10/13/22 9:36PM, PE00167152, a silver sedan exited 316 illegally, about to hit us, and Anderson pulls over my retired mother driving in the right lane going straight the whole time in a black SUV. He told me to be quiet or I'll make things worse when he's pulling over the wrong car and causing problems for a start, abusing power. He gave my mother a warning when she shouldn't even get that and apologized, then don't write a warning. Gwinnett officers do nothing but harrass. They don't help women they hurt instead. How will it be worse for me when in court the tape on the dash will show officer Anderson pulled over the wrong car, and his ugly behavior. We should not have been bothered period. Your officers are always mistreating black people, always, how do you mix up totally different cars. Sometimes I feel they get worse if you do not call your lawyer right then and there and I'm sick and tired of your racist injustice. The warning description is inaccurate. He should've never taken her lisence and apologized for pulling over the wrong car. This warning needs to be thrown out. He said it was no big deal, then don't write it and get the right car, incompetence.
For a police agency you would think they have high standards and given some of the reviews it doesn't seem like they do hence why they are always hiring. They travel hours away from GA like going to New Jersey go recruit people. Was denied and barred because I supposedly omitted something that happened over 10 years ago. Guess they are the perfect ones and no one can make honest mistakes.
So far, my experience with the GCPD has been pleasant and professional. My only ask is that please consider assigning an officer by the movie theatre at Summit Mills - so many cars mostly at nights and weekends with extremely loud exhausts that disturb the peace of people nearby. Certainly louder than a 95 decibel limit. Georgia Vehicle Code Sec. 40-8-71
Got into a fender bender due to falling asleep behind the wheel during my cross country trip from California. After waiting 45min for an officer to arrive on scene, I ended up receiving a ticket for following too closely and when I questioned the legitimacy of the ticket I was threatened with a much more expensive ticket of distracted driving. You would think your honesty will go a long way but not in this county. Unprofessional to say the least. Make sure you cross your T's and Dot you I's when passing through this county.
Please Read...I wish I could give them 0 stars. Trying to make a long story short. My home was broken into by a neighbortownhouse/apartment complex. After the break in I saw the culprit putting two scooters in the trunk of their car two scooters were among the items stolen out of my home. I followed their car as it was leaving the parking lot just to get the plates nothing more but it had no plates. So I followed dangerous I know and called 911. Anyway, my neighbor ended up getting stopped/pulled over. Come to find out that my stolen items were in this person's vehicle but the cop failed to make an arrest. Later, I was told by the detective that the officer could have and should have arrested this person. But because the officer didn't the chances of me ever getting my items back there was more stolen just not in the car at the time definitely flew out the window making the detectives job that much harder. How I know that this cop messed me over because his boss called me personally to apologize for the officers failure to do his job thoroughly and make the best choice. I will forever not forgive this officer. A laptop with all my children's baby photos and videos was stolen and I will not ever get it back. I didn't even know this neighbor but as hard as that is to believe-when you live in an apartment complex you really don't get to know people like you probably do when you live in a house. 1 I think this officer was being lazy and didn't want to bother with my situation. And 2 I honestly believe because me and this person were people of color he probably thought we were neighbors who got in a dispute and were just mad at each other. Sorry folks but I know for a fact if I was white that neighbor would have been arrested that day. Because of your gwinnett police officer I will not ever have those photos and videos again. Thanks for nothing!!!
My husband and I were in a car accident this afternoon. 911 was called immediately there were no injuries so all we needed was a police report. After waiting an hr I called back. The dispatcher was extremely rude and told me the officer would get there when one is available. Another he goes by we've now been waiting 2 hrs!, I call back. This dispatcher was extremely helpful. She was able to track my first call and said an office was sent but for some reason my call was "cleared" so he went on another call instead. She sent one out to me immediately after realizing their mistake. We trusted gwinnett county PD and were let down, what if this had been a true emergency?!
I had to pick up an incident report today after going to the wrong police department. The ladies were more than helpful, polite and had a smile on their face the whole time I was there. Due to not being so busy the time I was there, she was able to whip up my report within 10 minutes. Overall, the best experience I've had in ANY government building. I have family in military as well as police force. I've seen my fair share of Gov't agencies... these ladies deserve a raise.
After a wonderful vacation in Florida with just having 10 miles to get home, I did not realized my speed in 141 Hwy and got stopped by officers. My 7 years old daughter start crying and I thought this is not a good vacation end. Long story short the two officers gave stickers to my daughter and some proper advise to us while they were completely respectful and professional. As the result my daughter feeling about police has changed completely and I just want to say thank you to these great gentleman. Unfortunately I don't know their name, but I read "Gwinnett County Police Department" on their clothes. Wish you guys all success and happiness while you are keeping us safe and secure.
Honest to goodness I have not had to have a run in with these officers yet and I am grateful. Citizens need to be quite careful and aware before posting these officers names and badge number. Blues are out there, whether you like them or not, being the shield between you and crime. They maybe completely in the wrong and deserve some type of reprimand. The best way to get that would be to go to the local precinct and file a complaint and if it doesn’t go high enough go to Atlanta city, the governor, or if you truly think it’s for the safety of the community, get the community on board. These men and women are on the streets for our safety and while, yes, it is public record, make others do the research.
Two nights ago my my parents and I were driving on 316 around 11 pm when we suddenly got a flat tire. We pulled over to the median and called 911 to send out road assistance. Shortly officer R.K. Smolarsky arrived and said he couldn't do much but call Hero units to help us. They were busy all around helping clear up accidents so the officer called a wrecker service to come help us. This officer was so kind to stay parked behind us the entire hour with his lights flashing and kept saying he rather have a car hit his vehicle than ours. He had a smile on his face the whole time despite how late it was at night. He is definitely the best cop I've encountered in Gwinnett!
