How does your child benefit by attending Gymboree?
Socialization - Children become more comfortable with other children and adults and experience their first teacher-relationship before they go to school. Children and adults alike meet first friends at Gymboree - some that last a lifetime! New parenthood becomes less isolating and more fulfilling.
Physical Development, Fitness, Sensory Stimulation- Children embrace a fit lifestyle at an early age. They will crawl, run, climb, jump and move on playscapes that change every 2 weeks, learning physical skills such as motor planning, spatial discrimination and hand-eye coordination. Even the youngest babies benefit from sensory and motor stimulation with a fun, musical Gymboree twist.
Cognitive Stimulation - A baby's brain grows faster now than at any other time. Gymboree activities stimulate all parts of the brain through fun parent-child activities. Children learn spatial, problem-solving and imaginary concepts.
Emotional Bonds - Gymboree is a special, uninterrupted time to explore and share fun, safe and positive experiences with your child. The experience is sure to deepen bonds between children and their parent or caregiver and create lifelong memories.
A few helpful hints to make your first Gymboree experience enjoyable:
Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before the scheduled class starts, and do your best to not be late. Classes start on time! Dress your child in comfortable play clothes and gripper socks for better traction in the gym. All grownups must also wear socks on the playfloor. No shoes! Stay within a hug's reach of your child for safety and extra encouragement. No food or drinks on the playfloor. Leave your valuables at home and be mindful of your personal belongings. We cannot be responsible for their security. If one of you is ill, please reschedule your appointment. We have a generous makeup policy as long as you are currently enrolled. Our team is known for being warm, welcoming and eager to make your experience memorable. We look forward to your visit!

Our History
Gymboree began in 1976 when Joan Barnes, a mother from Marin County, California, tried to find a safe, fun place featuring age-appropriate activities for parents and young children to play together. Unable to do so, she did what any enterprising person would; she started her own program! We’ve been proudly inspiring parents and children ever since.

Gymboree Play & Learn (10-6 months)
Explore the senses and support visual and auditory development with tummy time, flashlight play, first songs and more. This baby class includes parent discussion time to help learn about your child's development.
Gymboree Play & Learn 2 (6-10 months)
Learn about cause and effect and build strength through play with ramps, slides and climbers. This infant class includes parent discussion time to help learn about your child's development.
Gymboree Play & Learn 3 (10-16 months)
Explore two-way communication with your child. Play environments encourage discovery, balance and coordination as parents learn to understand how their infant interacts and communicates with them and the world.
Gymboree Play & Learn 4 (16-22 months)
Figure out how the world works and become a competent problem solver through games that uncover patterns and sequences. This class is suitable for toddlers.
Gymboree Play & Learn 5 (22-28 months)
Stretch the imagination through creative play to support symbolic thinking, language development and social interaction. This class is suitable for toddlers.
Gymboree Play & Learn 6 (28-36 months)
Play both independently and with peers while learning to connect ideas through cooperation and communication. This class is suitable for toddlers.
School Skills (3-5 years)
Encourage curiosity and build self-confidence in your preschooler through art, science exploration, play and more. Teachers also read children's books that explore and nurture key social and emotional skills, engage in activities that require cooperation and self-awareness, and encourage communication with peers.
This school skills class includes both independent and group learning activities to promote the important personal and social skills your preschool child will need for a successful transition into school.
Music I (6-16 months)
Discover melody, pitch and rhythm while building a repertoire of joyful songs. Music classes are suitable for babies and infants.
Music II (16-28 months)
Dance and sing to a new musical style each month including Latin, Rock 'n' Roll, Classical and more. Music classes are suitable for toddlers.
Music III (28 months-5 years)
Express your singing voice and emerging musical knowledge through rhythm, pitch, tempo and musical forms. Parent participation optional. Music classes are suitable for preschool-age children.
Family Music (6 months - 5 years)
Get musical with the whole family through instruments, song, dance, games and more, while building a solid foundation of musical skills for everyone. Music classes are suitable for children ages 6 months -5 years and the whole family.
Art I (18-24 months)
Discover art hands-on through sculpture, painting, story time, our tactile table and more. Art classes are suitable for toddlers.
Art II (24-36 months)
Paint, sing, sculpt, collage and imagine in a uniquely creative space. Art classes are suitable for toddlers and preschoolers.
Art III (3-5 years)
Gain confidence in self-expression and artistic exploration through a hands-on, multimedia experience. Parent participation optional. Art classes are suitable for preschool children.
Family Art (18 months - 5 years)
Be inspired together and make colorful memories in the Gymboree Art Studio. Sculpt with a giant block of clay, design a family tree, paint a mural or make a creation of your very own. Art classes are suitable for children ages 18 months - 5 years and the whole family.
