This is a great store to shop at, everyone should experience it, lots of great items to choose from.
I've donated to and bought from here for years. Today tho has changed my mind. $25 for a beat up hollow core flat door. Too high. Use to buy them for $5-10. Pricing way to high for me. Bye.
I'm terribly disappointed in and ashamed of this store's staff. I'm a high risk individual for covid, and I was horrified to walk in during Illinois' mask mandate, thinking it would be safe inside, and to see almost nobody wearing masks or distancing. Not even the staff here were wearing masks according to the mandate. I didn't want to stay inside for very long out of concern for my own health. I'll definitely be avoiding this store until the pandemic is more under control.
Price is extremely too high and they do not accept offers. the person who is supposed to be running the store on main Street in Peoria tries to sale things at half price on new price and that have been used up . With exception of a few friends which gets better pricing/ deals.the other two stores in the area are much better places to go
Awesome store and an awesome organization! You will find treasures not just of the physical kind of deals but in the friendly attitudes of employees and volunteers. They treat donations with respect for the hope in which they were given and freely disperse hope and excitement out to those who come in.
Had a great experience at the Habitat on Main street. Not so much on the one on University. The lady with the two ponytails on top does a poor job of pricing things. She is always changing up must be depending on her mood for the day. Not a fair way to handle a business.
It would seem that although their hours are posted on the door, they're not set in stone. The hours state Tues-Saturday 9-5. My husband and I stopped by last month on a Saturday at 1:30 and they were closed. We've been there before on Mondays also. It would be nice if they could pick some hours and actually stick to those.
Great cause, terrible store. Tons and tons of furniture stacked on top of each other so you can barely see any of it. The furniture is overpriced and it doesn't matter that it goes to charity, it's all profit so no need to jack up the prices on furniture that needs restored or repaired. Store is dirty, unorganized and cluttered. There was some awful funky odor in there that made me get a headache. They need to see what the Bloomington Restore does and follow their lead because that store is amazing. That store posts on social media all the time which helps move items quick.
Stopped in to find a glass piece for our ceiling fan the kids broke. Found what I was looking for at a great price and took a look at everything in the store. Lots to choose from.
Has a lot of good things depending on what they have at the time you're there. Can get some very very good deals and some quality stuff. Have gotten brand new items and also gotten some very good used items.
