Hackwith Design House // Clothing Sewn in Minnesota, USA // Since 2010
Out of an innate desire to create, HDH was founded in the Spring of 2010 by the combination of Lisa Hackwith, lead designer; and husband Dustin Hackwith lead graphic artist. Both Dustin and Lisa grew up in rural parts of the Midwest in families that one; had a natural instinct to be creative, two; resourcefulness, and three; unrestrained boundaries.
With this in mind, HDH came into being out of a family tradition of making Christmas presents; specifically the “fashion fleece”, a new take on a warm, winter sweater for both men and women. This item was and still continues to be the biggest seller at Hackwith Design House. From the fashion fleece sprung a desire to make clothing for men and women that was different than the status quo, fashionable, and highly functional. Shortly after the fashion fleece, in a swirl of beautiful floral and color blocked dresses, spring brought with it the creation of Hackwith Design House’s women's wear. Buyers began to notice and Hackwith Design House soon found itself in boutiques across America and even a few worldwide.
Hackwith Design House started with the goal of making clothing as unique as the wearer. In September 2013, we launched with one limited-edition design, and each Monday that fall we posted one new design, no more than 25 of each. We've grown to include a Core Collection, Swim, Basics, and Plus, as well as new limited-edition designs on Mondays, and we still strive to make every piece special, with the unique women who wear them in mind.
