This review is very late but I only have positive things to say about the hospital. I gave birth 6th of November 2022, and the care was amazing, the nurses were nothing but sweet and attentive, and my birth experience it’s self was peaceful and a blessing, I got an epidural and everything went amazing after that, I stayed for two days after birth and i was well taken care of, every staff I had was sweet and my nurse Alex, I think that was her name was the best of all, she was so sweet and down to earth. Omg and the Italian sandwich from the cafeteria was so good, I still think about it till this day, would definitely go back for any medical treatment.
Had a partial nephrectomy here 11/23/22 under my doctor Michael Stifelman. Had major complications due to no fault of my doctor but my body as I had 11x tumors removed that were large ended up spending a few days in the ICU than on a regular floor for monitoring. During my time in the ICU with getting blood transfusions and also with blood pressure issues the ICU nurses Mekedo, Rachel and Colleen were amazing and very caring always helped me. When I got transferred to the 9th floor for care before being discharged the nurses Kayla, Amanda, Jessica , Jennifer , Dean and Arlen. Always made sure I was comfortable and always took into account of my concerns. I used to see doctor stifelman when he was in New York I paid out of pocket to have the best insurance so I can have him as my surgeon. The food here was good but very plain which is to be expected. When moved to the 9th floor I had my own room which was fantastic for the amount of pain and issues I had during and after surgery. Didn’t have any issues with this hospital the only thing negative per say was that once admitted to the 9th floor I was unable to have two people in the room at the same time, Along with no one could stay with me overnight as have incredibly bad anxiety. the other thing was there was two people that came around taking blood pressure and I had asked them for help a few times as I was unable to bend or move normally or get out of bed and they just gave me an attitude and a problem. Overall I recommended this hospital .
My visit to this emergency hospital was very satisfactory. The staff were very professional and helpful from the moment I arrived until I left for home. My surgical procedure was done quickly and carefully a big thank you to the team of doctor Daniel E Mansour and to all the nurses and all the staff for their beautiful care. I felt very attended to and followed their instructions to the letter for a successful recovery. The accommodation was also excellent. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with all the amenities. The doctor was very communicative and was keeping me informed throughout the procedure. I am thankful for the excellent service and attentive staff. I felt truly safe and secure during my stay. This hospital is definitely my number one choice for emergency visits.
This has to have been the absolute worst experiences I have ever encountered at a hospital. Emergency room with over 24 hours in the hallway being moved from place to place and having to over 10 hours for results. The service here actually makes me want to move back to NY. My wife came and needed an MRI yesterday at 3pm. It took around 30 hours to get one. Now that the MRI was completed over 2 hours and no information on the results. Said that have no idea when the results would be ready. Could care less if you were waiting for three weeks and wouldn’t even give us to code to set up Mychart. Staying the only way to get that information is once you have been discharged. Dr. Kitari was an absolute nightmare with no consideration, or understanding for patient care. Guys please for your own self respect try and find another hospital for care if you can. The hospital culture doesn’t care about good patient care and for over 24hours my wife had to wait in a hall way for a possible strake scare. Disgusting…
They don’t do anything to help patients. Don’t take anything serious and brush off what a patient is telling them. Supervising doctor is always on cellphone and a complete jerk has no regards for others and how they are feeling. Nurses had no clue on how to place an IV I was poked 5 times. Was here for 8 hours and nothing was resolved. Staff needs to due better.
In the last two months my sister has been rushed to the hospital three times. This time in the hospital she is on the 3rd floor North-Neuro. I can't say enough about the care she receives from the nurses. It is exceptional. It is so nice when she rings the buzzer they are right there. They have taken so good care of her. They have been so kind to her. I wish the other floors were like this. I finally was able to relax when I went home to know she is taken care of. She needs a nebulizer a few times a day and the man that came in was always making sure was okay and her vitals were good. This floor was unbelievable with her.
It was absolutely the worst. 1. After deferring their offer of induction, they said that I needed to see a doctor and then left me alone. Me and my parents waited there for several hours morning-late afternoon without eating, but in the end, we couldn't see the doctor for more than 6 hours. 2. Almost 10 different peoplecrazy, right? had to undergo an internal examinationwithin few hours, and in the process, my endometrium was damaged and, Eventually, I had to receive Pitocin, and Even, at the end, they burst the amniotic fluid WITHOUT my consent. 3. The location of the painless injectionEpidural was wrong, so the anesthesia did not work properly, and because the medical staff couldn't figure it out properly, it took a lot of time and I had to insert a urine line THREE times! 4. They couldn't find the blood vessels well and didn't draw the blood properly, so there was a huge bruise something I rarely see in other hospitals. 5. The facilities are outdated Attached photo of the torn sofa and even the shower room only had hot water so it could not be used. I informed everyone who came to my room, but the person in charge only came to check it at night, and their promise to fix it the next morning was also not kept. 6. Despite multiple mentions that I didn't need help with breastfeeding several people including my mom have already taught me, she put on gloves and touched my breast and nipple why?, and apologized only after I started to get annoyed. I was already very uncomfortable. 7. I called and asked for someone to take care of my baby while my family was away for a while + I had an issue, but the nurse in charge came late and said, 'Why can't you see the baby? do you need a shower? need to pee? need to poop? After asking rude questions, she repeated the unbelievable rude word again ‘Don’t you have to watch the baby alone when you go home?’ SEVERAL times she said the same before taking the baby out. I did not want her to take the baby out and reported it to the hospital. The hospital was telling mothers to request babycare "at any time" if needed. 8. Almost everyone had rough hands. And some medical staff ignored the fact that I was sick. Some even verbally ignored me. After hearing about my job from the doctor, a medical staff apologized to me. I don't know how such rude things can happen in a row!!!!! I felt disrespected and will never use this hospital again and would not recommend it to others. There were kind and nice people, and there were people who came to congratulate me on the news of the baby's birth, but it's also true that I had the worst time ever.
Very dissatisfied with the service provided at this a emergency room The waiting time ,the excuses. 2 and a half hours of waiting to actually start the process of getting blood work Last experience at this hospital we had. To Wait 12 hours because someone did not follow directions.
I am presently in Hackensack hospital, and this has been the worst experience of my life. This place is total chaos. It takes hours to get any issues resolved. Short staffed in all departments. I'm very unhappy with the level of care received here all around, and with the doctors too. I'm being discharged while I am still very sick. My health issues have not been resolved with any clear answers, and I still have many unanswered concerns. The doctor just repeats the same thing over again, not taking me seriously. Do not come here for care at all. This hospital went completely downhill. Complete chaos and confusion from day one. I will never come back here again... ever! Total lack of communication, and way too crowded. A terrible level of care received. I'm leaving here more swollen from fluid retention then to begin with, a bad leg infection, severe breathing difficulty, and blood pressure not completely regulated. I was in congestive heart failure upon arriving. I should not be discharged yet while im still in this condition. Do not like Dr Seci who was treating me at all! Worst Dr. ever!!! And patient experience does nothing to help.
Emergency room is a scam. I came here after a car accident. They supposedly billed my car insurance as well as my health insurance and still I had to pay $1400 out of pocket. What did they do to me might you ask? They took a urine sample to see if I was pregnant and then told me to follow her finger and poked my face to “check for concussion” completely ridiculous. I think next time I’ll just take my chances with the concussion
