The brand new Haddam-Killingworth Middle School building opened in January of 2007 for students in grades 5-8. The old Middle School housed students in grades 7-8, and the 5th and 6th grade students attended one of the three elementary schools within the district. The former Middle School is now the new Central Office, the Office of the Superintendent and management staff of Regional School District No. 17.
