As well as being a Hairstylist for the past 11 years, and a Paul Mitchell National Educator, Jim Compton has found his true passion in hair behind the chair. Jim began his career as a Hairstylist in Nashville, TN. After working at Rodney Mitchell Salon, first as Rodney's assistant and then eventually becoming lead stylist in Rodney's third salon, Jim decided to open his own salon, "Hair By Jim". During this time is when he became associated with the Paul Mitchell Brand. Now he has come to New Orleans to further his career and journey with Paul Mitchell at Niki Walker Salon as he serves as the official NWS Master Colorist. Jim has been the recipient of numerous awards most recently the prestigious Paul Mitchell National Educator Memorial Award for 2011. Jim is leaving his mark on the city of New Orleans with his very unique and dynamic approach as a Visionary Master of Color. Come experience the "Guest" touch with Jim Compton.
